Providing coaching, seminars and mentoring support from experts. The bootcamp happens over 4 days and is a practical seminar programme for new businesses, delivered by Enterprise4All. Bootcamp support includes: • • • • • • • Access to sector-based experts. A start-up toolkit, including a wide range of “how to” guides, templates and start-up checklists. Access to flexible coaching styles and additional seminars. Finance support. Specialist mentoring support for up to 2 years. Pennine LEAP is funded by the European Regional Development Fund. This support is also available for businesses up to 36 months old. Employers Forums Z Employers Forums allow businesses to keep up-to-date with key hot topics. It allows you to get together to share best practice and talk about issues of interest and network with like-minded business peers. The agenda is driven by private sector demand. A buffet lunch is also provided. Retail masterclass Z Pendle retail businesses have the chance to attend a workshop on making the most of your shop window displays. The masterclass will be delivered by visual merchandiser and consultant Sue Storer, who has over 20 years’ experience, both in the UK and abroad. As well as working hands-on in designing window displays and in-store layouts, Sue also offers in-store training and individual consultation for retailers. Sue will illustrate ideas for shop window displays, including ‘dos and don’ts’ for visual merchandising for retail businesses. Nelson: Its performance and potential Z As part of Nelson’s successful Portas Pilot bid, Springboard Research Ltd will be running a free workshop aimed at developing a true understanding of Nelson’s currentpositionand the future opportunities for growth. The workshop will explore issues being faced by the town and will: • • • Provide a profile of Nelson’s performance to date to identify the town’s strengths and weaknesses and look at the opportunity for improvement. Benchmark the town’s performance to determine the degree of under or over performance and so the extent of change that is required.
