ow that Fall is upon us, it brings lower seasonal temperatures and an opportunity to enjoy the country outdoors
of our wonderful community without the heat.
Diamond Bar is home to one of the best park and trail systems in
Southern California, with many amenities including basketball
and tennis courts, playgrounds, Dog Park, and athletic fields
that provide fun year round. Fall provides cooler temperatures
that are ideal conditions for hiking, and residents have ample
trails to choose from. There is also a new online interactive
map of our trail system, so you can see the degree of difficulty
of a trail before trying for the first time. If you have not tried
it, the Summitridge Park Trail provides the best loop in the
classes, special events and beautiful weddings, parties, and
private events. The Center has undergone renovation im-
provements, including new carpeting, audio/visual upgrades,
and a new conference room. In addition to the Center, the
Heritage and Pantera Park Community Centers and picnic
shelters are available for rental. For reservation information
please contact Community Services at 909.839.7070 or visit

Diamond Bar AYSO in Full Effect
ou know it is soccer season when
the parks are filled with energetic
youth, parents are strutting their “Soccer

of energy surrounds the fields. Diamond Bar AYSO Region 31 is well into
their Fall season and this year marks their
40th anniversary. The organization began
in 1973 and each year over 1,000 children

Diamond Bar AYSO provides.
Diamond Bar AYSO is a region built by
volunteers. Without the full support of the
parents and family members, the organi-

seasons of soccer. The Fall season, known
as the Core Program, runs from mid
August through November. The Spring
season or “Selected Season” is designed
for those players
that are interested in playing soccer year
round. Coaches
invite qualified
players to participate in a season
that lasts from
January through
July.
AYSO also offers a VIP Program which

All children younger than eight years old must ride in the back seat of a car in a booster
or car seat.
Everyone riding in a vehicle must have their seat belts fastened at all times when a
vehicle is in motion.
During rainy weather, keep a safe distance from the car in front of you in the event you
need to brake suddenly. If you use your windshield wipers, your headlights must be
turned on.
When driving, all cell phone conversations must occur while using a hands-free device.
If using a map app, GPS system, or texting, the same hands-free laws apply.
