INFORMING THE INVESTORS OF THE MOORE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SINCE 1946 BUSINESS SUPER BOWL IV Bowling Our Way Toward a Good Cause On February 6, Moore AMF Lanes was jam-packed! We had all 40 lanes filled and three additional sponsors for this event. We had 15 restaurants and caterers participating in Taste of Moore and providing a delicious tasting of a variety of foods. In addition, we had over 60 items for our silent auction. It was a fun-filled evening of friends and colleagues bowling their way toward a great cause. The proceeds from this event will benefit the Chamber’s Excellence in Education (Teacher of the Year/ Patron of the Year Awards Program) and the Food 4 Kids Moore Public Schools Program. This year we raised $12,352. It is very rewarding to know we are able to honor our teachers and patrons for all of the hours and work they provide to make our school district the best it can be. In addition, we are able to help sustain our Food 4 Kids Program, which provides approximately 450 elementary children with kid-friendly food over the weekend. One counselor stated, “Your contributions make it possible for our children in need to receive some of the added nutrition they need to be successful. We thank you very much.” The Education Services Committee would like to thank everyone who participated and helped make this a very successful event. We hope to see you next year for the Super Bowl V Bowling Party on Friday, February 5, 2010. Thanks to the 15 restaurants and caterers who helped support Chamber’s Excellence in Education (Teacher of the Year/Patron of the Year Awards Program) and the Food 4 Kids Moore Public Schools Program.
