The quality of artists on this free tour has contributed to the area becoming well known nationally as a destination for people interested in the arts. In 2013, the tour was awarded the Cultural/Arts/Tourism Impact Award in recognition of its significant impact on arts in the area. Each year the collection of artists on tour becomes more impressive.
