We cordially invite you to participate in our trend and sample forums for the fall/winter season 16/ 17 at Munich
Fabric Start. The exhibition title „REFUTURE“ unites futuristic ideas with retro-oriented inspiration for an exciting
mix, reflecting the latest trend developments of the upcoming season.
* FABRICS - MAIN TRENDS *
The main inspiration sources for the new season come from the 70s, gothic, wearable high-tech and clear,
simple naturalness. Distinctive, fashionable peaks of these themes are completed by a certain banality that
comes in dark toned classics, solid looks with flared trousers, minimal sportswear or rugged American styles.
The focus in terms of materials is an exciting, rather unusual mix: rustic and „old-fashioned“ meets highly technical
and athletic-looking qualities. Shine, tactile surfaces and patterns are still very significant - and often come in
decoloured, discreet, two -tone or tonal colour combinations. Jagged and organic designs become the
most important in graphics. 70s motifs and technical sparkle are an eye catcher.

Please make sure to label your fabrics correctly with brand name, booth and hall number. We reserve the right
to use images of the sent samples for trend and marketing purposes under the name MUNICH FABRIC START.
Please send up to 8 of your current fabrics max for each section as approximately 40 x 60 cm swatch. You
could also send samples up to 120 cm in length.
