Why buy from Eyebrook Bird Feeds?
B
y purchasing from Eyebrook
Wild Bird Feeds you are directly
supporting bird and wildlife
habitats which can be provided by
farming in a traditional method with
environment at the forefront.
Helping the birds
Our passion for birds is evident on our
farm, where over the past thirty years
we have enhanced the environment
to encourage more birds and wild life
that have been in decline over the
years. To monitor this we work closely
with the RSPB who record bird numbers
on the farm, and we are delighted to
find these surveys show a tremendous
increase in both species and numbers
of birds on the farm. Come and visit us
and see for yourself!
Supporting projects
We are delighted to support many outstanding projects
which make a real difference to our birds. On a national
level such projects include donating feed to the Help for
Heroes reserve at Tedworth House, supplying RSPB reserves
and National Trust properties, and developing a seed mix
for the RSPB’s Cirl Bunting project to stop the decline of
Cirl Buntings in the south-west. On a local level we donate seed and feeders to local
schools, support local reserves and host wildlife research on our farm.
Conservation farming
At the farm we take great pride in our ability
to balance the pressures of modern farming
and the need to conserve and enhance the
environment. As a family we are dedicated
to improving our environment for birds
which includes providing nesting and feeding
habitats, planting new and renewing old
hedgerows, providing wildlife corridors around
the farm and being active members of LEAF.
Award winning farm
In recognition of the environmental work on the farm we have achieved a number
of awards for conservation, diversification and public access including winning the
‘Beautiful Farm’ award, finalists in the RSPB Nature of farming awards and the Farmers
Weekly ‘Countryside Farmer’ award.
...And the main reason... your birds will love it!!
Mixed Seeds
O
Available in 2kg to 20kg bags
ur mixes are all mixed on the farm using home grown ingredients where possible.
Any other ingredients which cannot be grown on the farm we try to source from
the UK. Generally birds are attracted to the best quality seed that provides
highest energy, for this reason all ingredients are quality checked throughout the mixing
process and our recipes are blended to a high specification. Our mixes can be fed
through feeders, on tables or scattered on the ground.

Feeding guide
G
ardens can be a great source of natural and
supplementary feed for our feathered friends.
By providing a plentiful garden you can enjoy
watching the bird population flourish and be content
in the knowledge you are aiding the survival of
British birds. Providing supplementary food in a safe
environment will really help birds and you will be
rewarded by enjoying marvellous displays of nature on
your feeders and be visited through the seasons by a
wonderful range of garden birds.
When to feed
Feeding your garden birds is an activity to be enjoyed all year round, providing essential
foods to birds when natural food stocks are low. Although feeding through the winter
months is most essential, the RSPB and the BTO advocate feeding all year round to guard
against natural food shortages whenever they may occur. Feeding through the breeding
season brings real benefits to the adults and their young, your garden will be bustling
with busy parents and new fledglings.
What to feed
Our mixes, straights, suets and worms shown within this brochure will greatly benefit
your birds throughout the year. By feeding a wide range of different foodstuffs you can
attract a wider range of species. It is important to feed high energy and quality feeds to
benefit your birds most. Feeding the right food at the right time is essential, a selection
of feed will ensure you provide for different species. In addition a supply of fresh water
in your garden for drinking and bathing will benefit those visiting.

• Feed all year round
