It is designed to meet the high speed production requirements of both on-site and factory built construction. This adhesive exhibits extremely high ultimate shear strength, outstanding aging characteristics, excellent moisture and heat resistance and it reduces sound transmission as well as labor and material costs, in a broad range of interior and exterior applications. Surfaces to be bonded must be free of dirt, oil, grease, rust or foreign matter. It is generally recommended that your component be positioned and placed within 10 minutes after the Chembond has been applied. Press components firmly in order to rupture the slight surface skinning that has occurred; this will also allow a large contact area to be wetted. Use clamps, nails or supplemental fasteners to hold component in proper position, until Chembond is set (usually 24 hours). It is also generally recommended that Chembond should not be applied to various components at temperatures lower than 0o F, after being stored at room temperatures. When bonding subfloors, it is recommended to apply Chembond for one sheet at a time, nailing the sheet perimeter on 6” centers and the sheet intermediate points on 12” centers for maximum strength. Because of the flammable nature of Chembond, we recommend that you keep the product away from heat, sparks, and open flame. Avoid prolonged breathing of vapor or prolonged contact with skin, due to the solvents present in the uncured adhesive - use in adequately vented area. CAUTION Do not use Chembond on substances susceptible to attack by solvents, eg. polystyrene foam, vinyl board materials. WARRANTY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE OF THIS PRODUCT ARE BASED ON RELIABLE TESTS, SINCE DESIGN AND CONDITIONS OF INSTALLATION ARE BEYOND OUR CONTROL. NO GUARANTEE OR APPLICATION IS IMPLIED. OUR LIABILITY FOR ANY DEFECT OF THE MATERIAL IS LIMITED TO REFUND OF THE PURCHASE PRICE ONLY. Phone: (403) 252-7803 | Fax: (403) 2522384 | www.chemtron.ca
