Our tours are designed to ensure your players achieve optimum performance and much of that depends on what happens off the field. Nutrition All meals on tour are prepared fresh and have been specially designed by nutritional experts to fuel the peak performance of rugby players. Catering for your team’s nutritional requirements, we ensure each player gets the right mix of protein, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and minerals their body needs after a physical day of training. Our meal plans take into account your team’s tour commitments. We’ll ensure players have the appropriate food before, during and after games, to aid recovery. As part of your Manaaki New Zealand Rugby Tour, your team will also receive nutritional advice from our qualified dietitian which you can implement into your training schedule post-tour. Training and facilities Players will train at New Zealand’s most prestigious rugby training facilities, including gyms, fitness centres and swimming pools. Each team will receive purpose-made training programmes that focus on three key phases – preparation, work and recovery. These will include movement and dynamic prep, functional movement training, and hot/cold recovery strategies. Our strength and conditioning coach will analyse video footage of each player prior to the commencement of the tour to identify any mobility and movement issues, and develop exercises accordingly. Each programme is individually designed to reduce the risk of injury, make weaknesses non-existent, and improve a player’s overall speed and strength. Hudl video analysis Hudl video analysis software provides teams with valuable insight into their match performance. Coaches and players can analyse their game performance off the field, watch set pieces minute by minute, evaluate their game plan and identify areas where improvements can be made. This software is revolutionising the way teams around the world prepare for a game, giving them significant advantage over their competitors. Manaaki New Zealand Rugby Tours will provide all coaches and team managers with instructions on how to get the most from this software, and offer ongoing support to enhance the development of your players.
