WHO IS ‘TURKİSHCERAMICS’?
Turkishceramics is the promotion group for ceramic manufacturers and exporters in Turkey. Representing over
30 individual companies. The group’s mission is to raise awareness of Turkish ceramics internationally and
communicate the quality of Turkish ceramic tiles and sanitary ware.

Ceramic production in Turkey has a long history and rich tradition, with the first ceramics being created in Anatolia
over 8000 years ago. Turkish ceramic producers are proud to continue this tradition of innovation today with a
creative approach and a broad range of products for both the professional and consumer markets.

2014 CERAMICS DESIGN COMPETITION
Turkishceramics, this year started to organize a new
Ceramics design competition aiming to enrich and
support the ceramic design culture in Turkey and
globally.
The very first one announced at the opening of
Unicera fair in İstanbul.
Announcements of the next one will be done shortly.

KIOSK LONDON - FEBRUARY 2014
The Architects’ Journal and Turkishceramics
have partnered to create the ‘Kiosk design
challenge’, asking some of the world’s top
architects to create a water-dispensing kiosk for
London that incorporates ceramic details and
reflects the artistry and craft typical of the
building type’s rich heritage.
Participating architects include 2012 London
Olympic Games Architects Zaha Hadid
Architects and Hopkins; Google HQ architect
AHMM; Eric Parry Architects; Classicist architects
ADAM Architecture; and up-and-coming
practice, Studio Weave.

A catalogue designed for Iraq market was distributed
in Erbil door to door in February 2014 to promote Turkish

THE LARGEST INDUSTRY EXHIBITION IN THE
EURASIAN REGION FOR A QUARTER CENTURY
UNICERA International Ceramic, Bathroom and
Kitchen Fair is organized by Tüyap in association
with the Ceramics Federation of Turkey (TSF) and
held every year at the Tüyap Fair and Convention
Center, Istanbul.
Every year Turkishceramics gives a VIP Lounge

In April 2014, for the 16th times, “Turkishceramics”
participated to Coverings International Tile, Stone and
Flooring Exposition in USA Las Vegas city.

100% DESIGN WEEK- SEPTEMBER 2014
Set to be an innovative installation at this year’s 100% Design (17- 20 September), Kitchen and Bathroom hub
sponsor, Turkishceramics is collaborating with London-based practice, vPPR Architects, to design Foam Dome.
Foam Dome will focus on the theme of cleanliness. The pavilion is comprised of foam, creating a sculptural,
utopian dreamland, which is constructed of a lightweight, white Geodesic dome that will hang from above.
