Name: Robert Amerman Profession: VP, Director of Design, Third Mind, Inc. Something interesting about myself: I am an inveterate pie maker and am currently rebuilding a 1966 Ford pickup. Name: Byron Berkus Profession: Big Data Sales Specialist, Hortonworks Something interesting about myself: I recently had my first child, Silas Benjamin Berkus. He was delivered on June 28, 2016. I am looking forward to many walks on the San Antonio River with him, and the family. Name: Cynthia Gomez Profession: Realtor, Texan Legacy Group Something interesting about myself: My deep appreciation for nature comes from spending most of my childhood living near a riparian area and one Mexico's cloud forests, El Cielo Biosphere. My ancestor, Geronimo Carvajal arrived in 1718 as a Spanish soldier sent to establish the Presidio de San Antonio de Bexar as a part of the Alarcon Expedition. So he was on the San Pedro Creek on May 5, 1718 when the future city named San Antonio was founded. Name: Kirti Patel Profession: CEO/CFO, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Something interesting about myself: This summer I spent three weeks in Africa by the Zambezi River, which reminded me a lot of our San Antonio River. During the summer, we would scavenge the banks and fish the river with jug lines.
