Newsletter Spring 2016 - Dr. Trammell Orthodontics
SPOTLIGHT MEET RILEY! Riley Given is a 6th grader at Kennedy Middle School. His hobbies are singing, dancing, and acting – perfecting the triple-threat. He has been in over 15 plays and musical productions. He started acting with Upstart Crow Studios, a local children’s theater, when he was 7 years old. Riley is also a singer-songwriter and plays guitar, piano, drums and bass. You may see him performing around town this summer. When he’s not performing, you can find him out on the lake wake-boarding in the summer. CLINIC TIP LO! CHILDREN ORTHODONTIC SCREENING The American Association of Orthodontics recommends all children have an Orthodontic screening around age 7. No referral from the dentist is needed for this appointment. Just call our office and we will set up a complementary appointment for an initial screening. Early screening can help detect any treatment that may be needed to help eliminate more difficult and lengthy treatment in the future. Growth is a key and necessary factor in the correction of many malocclusions and treatment timing can be critical. We will continue to monitor your child’s growth and development and help you choose the proper time to start any necessary treatment. She loved squishing the cake... DR. TRAMMELL: STEPH: and his wife Amber continue with a busy schedule outside of work. Lately they have had to divide and conquer quite regularly because of conflicting kids activities. Dr. Trammell usually enjoys karting responsibilities for Graham and Amber usually enjoys soccer responsibilities with Evelyn. The family loves it when the kid’s activities allow them to all attend together. They got lucky on a recent weekend when Evelyn’s soccer and Graham’s karting were both in Medford on the same weekend! had lots of fun-filled weekends this year with family and friends visiting! She’s been enjoying showing them the sites of Eugene and visited the Raptor Center for the first time which is really cool – you should go! Over the Spring Break she started preparing to welcome six new babies to her home next month (chicks that is!) She’s been working hard building a chicken mansion for the back yard and looking forward to new pets and fresh eggs. SHARI: A work trip to Las Vegas in February and vacationing in Phoenix over Spring Break is just what Lisa needed, Lisa is a native Oregonian that is not crazy about rain. For her March birthday Lisa bought a new car. A Subaru for the fun activities that are off road, like hiking when the rain stops. has spent the last few months of winter waiting on nicer weather! She and her husband went to Portland for a boat show and dreamed of sunny days at the lake. Shari hosted a brunch for the “Moms” on Easter, which was nice. The Peter Frampton concert at the Shedd brought back the good ole days of the 70’s- what a great time! ANDREA: went on a trip with her girlfriends to Sunriver in January. She loved all the snowy weather. She has been also spending a lot of time doing playdates. Her and the kids have been swimming, to the science factory, to story time at the library and gone on numerous walks to the park. Easter weekend they went to an Easter egg hunt at the Walterville Grange, even Porter found a few eggs. CHRISTI: lately has been enjoying participating in walking/jogging races, she just did her second 10K and has been trying to get ready to walk her first half marathon with a couple of her friends. She has enjoyed some time at the coast riding on the dunes with family and friends. She is excited for spring and is enjoying the longer, lighter days. LISA: Lisa’s husband went to Spokane to watch the Ducks play in the NCAA basketball tournament. He and his friends can watch, live and breathe basketball 24/7, her, not so much. Lisa looks forward to spring flowers and family gatherings. The newest member of the family is Louie, her brother’s yellow lab puppy. LINDSEY: In January Harbor turned one! The family travelled back to WA. where they had a fun filled day with friends and family to celebrate. Harbor really enjoyed eating her cake and playing with all the other children. Dr. Trammell sent Lindsey and a few other team members to Las Vegas for continued education courses in February. Though they were there to learn, they found time to play and really enjoyed the warm sun! Toward the end of February, Nainoa received some great news for his career. He was awarded a scholarship through Horizon Air that guarantees him a first officer position. We are so proud of him! They are all looking forward to spring time and warmer weather so they can get outside to play more! LATEST WINNERS: MYKOLA STARUCH was able to match all the Dynamic Duos in our last contest! He received a $50 gift certificate to Get Air where he will get to play in the indoor trampoline gym with his dynamic duo! Way to go Myko! CURRENT CONTEST: 2ND ANNUAL TEACHER OF THE YEAR CONTEST!
