PRESIDENT
“Your generosity throughout the
past 50 years has brought us to
this momentous occasion.”
Dear Alumni and Friends,
It is with great pride and enthusiasm that I announce the beginning of Montini
Catholic’s 50th Year of Lasallian education in the Diocese of Joliet. e 201516 school year should be a great one filled with events and programs to celebrate
this milestone, culminated by our 50th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday,
June 4, 2016 at the Drury Lane, Oakbrook Terrace.
In this issue of Bronco Express we’ve provided a list of other events planned for
members of our school community, especially our alumni. We invite all to
return, re-engage and celebrate with us. Two events are approaching quickly.
e first is Homecoming , September 18th, where we will be celebrating 50
years of cheerleading, football and band. e second event, our Jubilee Liturgy,
will be held on November 15th at 11:00 a.m., in our field house. Please visit
our web site (www.montini.org/Celebrate50) for more information on all of our
exciting plans.
Each week we will celebrate Montini Catholic’s history and heritage by publishing a series of articles entitled Fifty Stories for 50 Years. e articles will be sent to
school community members. If you are not currently on our email list, but
would like to receive these articles, please contact Megan Pauley
(mpauley@montini.org) and let her know. Articles can also be viewed on our
web site. Additionally, we welcome alumni to share personal memories of
Montini Catholic. If you have a story to share, we would love to hear it. Please
visit: www.montini.org/MontiniMemories.
Montini Catholic’s Board of Directors and our 50th Anniversary Planning
Committee have enjoyed looking back and revisiting many significant moments
of our history, as well as individuals who have played a role in moving us
forward. In doing this, we have been motivated to also look ahead and plan for
our next 50 years through our 50th Anniversary Capital Campaign. is vision
is available on our web site (www.montini.org/Campaign50) and I invite you to
read about and review the many capital projects and programs presented in this
exciting campaign. I encourage you to help us write the next chapter of our
history by making a gift to this campaign.
As always my sincere appreciation to all of you who support our mission of
education. Your generosity throughout the past 50 years has brought us to
this momentous occasion. I hope you will plan to attend one of our many
celebrations this year!
On behalf of our school community I thank you and "May Jesus Live In Your
Hearts...Forever.”
Sincerely,
share your montini
memories with us! visit:
