Registration & Packet Pickup

Pre-registration only, available at usacycling.org

Registration closes 4/7/2016 at 10:00pm

Category 5 Men and Category 4 Women, one-day licenses must be purchased online

Juniors must have a physically signed waiver by a parent or legal guardian to participate
Registration Packet Pickup

Early packet pickup @Shama cycles Friday 3:00-6:00 pm

Friday night packet pickup located at race hotel (Holiday Inn, Sealy) from 7:30—10:30 pm

Riders may pick up packets from registration up until 30 minutes
prior to start time. If you do not pickup
your packet, you are not racing.
Please have photo id


Stage 2 & 3 at registration.

Number Placement and Chip Timing

Each rider receives two bib numbers.

Time Trial is right/middle.

Stages 2 & 3 are left/middle.

Timing Chips

Riders are each given an AMB timing chip, a small transponder that is
to be mounted in the lower half of the fork by zip-tie.

Do not attach to handlebars or stem, do not put it your pocket!

If you are using a TT bike, don’t forget to put the chip on your road
bike before the crit.

A credit card or photo id is required for the chip upon check in. When
you return the chip, you get your id back. If it is not returned after 10

Check-in & Warmup Area:

No sign in required before TT, but you must pick up your packet & chip

Juniors must roll out at TT start at least 5 minutes before start time!

Please refrain from warming up on Highway 90, you may warm up on the
criterium loop or on surrounding roads Woody/Borgel/Peschel Rd

Do not try to park by the TT start/finish area.

No warming up on the TT course while people are racing

Please show up at start at least 3-5 minutes before your start time

Do NOT cross the start line with your chip before your start time
Results & Awards:

Results be posted at Sealy High School next to registration area.

Podiums will be done 15 minutes after results are finalized

If you have a protest, you must protest to the Chief Referee or
Chief Judge within 20 minutes of results being posted or you're
out of luck! We will not change anything after we start Stage 2.

Once results are final, they will be uploaded to the website and
social media pages (facebook, twitter, instagram)

Stage sign-in is located in front of the school
entrance

Bathrooms located inside the school

Wheel pit is wheels in-wheels out. We do
not provide wheels!

Do not get on the course while races are in
progress or you will be DQed from the stage
race.


team tent, we can reserve a good spot for

Races start neutral from High
School and start once crossing
finish line on 2187

Finish line is about a mile after
you take the right turn onto 2187
from 1094.

GC Points at the sprint point each
lap & at the finish on final lap.

Feed Zone: Located at the finish
line section on 2187. Neutral feeds
available for wave 1 only (74+
miles)

Yellow line rule is in effect everywhere except Schleuns Rd. If you
cross the yellow line, you are risking your own safety and the safety
of others!

Not a fully closed course! There
are people who live here, please
respect their property and roads.

Road Surfaces: Roads are all fully
paved, but 25mm tires are recommended.

Wheels: Support is wheels-inwheels-out, you must put your
own wheels or team wheels in the
car.

Do not throw bottles and trash
outside the feed zone. You could
be penalized.

Please return chips to results area
before leaving!

Podiums for GC will immediately
follow road race podium.

If you leave without collecting payouts, primes or prizes, the prize is
forfeited.
Before Leaving:

Please check your results to make sure they are correct

Pick up any wheels, seatbags, bottles from the Follow vehicles

Return your timing chip

Buy gas and food in Sealy on your way out

This is a points based stage race, riders are awarded points for finishing in the top 20, and
collecting points primes and sprint points throughout the race. Concept is simple, rider with
the most points at the end of the stage race wins.

Bonus Points:


Prime Laps—the criterium will have points primes in each race every 15 minutes, these
points count towards the general classification.

Sprint Points—the road race has a sprint point once per 25 mile lap at the top of the
Millheim hill.
Racer Conduct: At all times racers should remember that they are representatives of their sponsors, USA Cycling, and the race’s sponsors and should conduct themselves appropriately. We are
guests in the communities that allow us to race. Ride as safely and courteously as possible and do
not obstruct traffic when outside of the race course.

Race Rules
1. You are responsible for knowing the contents of the race bible and any communiques issued by the Chief Referee
2. You are responsible for knowing the courses for all three stages.
3. Always wear a helmet while on the bike.
4. As a USAC sanctioned event the USA Cycling Rule Book applies including the USA
Cycling Code of Conduct
5. USAC rules forbid the use of any audio playback device.
6. Any cyclist caught urinating anywhere other than the porta-potties or bathrooms
will be disqualified.
7. Please make sure you return your timing chip before leaving
8. Please pick up your litter before you leave! Leave the area cleaner than you
found it.
Podiums and Awards



Riders must report to the podium ceremony to collect
prizes and payouts. Stage 1 & 2 podium ceremony will be
15 minutes following posting of results.
Riders must have their bib number present when picking
up prizes and payouts
Any payouts or prizes not picked up by 5pm Sunday April
10th will be forfeited

Medals will be awarded for top 3 for each stage.

Riders must be in team kit at podium, street clothes are
not allowed on podium.

Leaders of the race must be present at staging for call
ups before starting stages 2 and 3.

CCN Leader’s Jerseys:

The Blue Jersey represents the winner of the
overall classification.

Update to flyer: Jerseys will not be awarded after
each individual stage. We do no have enough
jerseys to cover that many categories without
having to ask for them back after the stage. You
probably wont want to wear someone else’s
used jersey Sunday, nor would we want to send
you home with a used one after winning the GC.

Winners get to keep the blue jersey as a trophy
for winning the GC. We encourage winners to
wear them at the local training rides after the
race.

Jersey will be presented at final podium ceremony for GC on Sunday afternoon.

Field Sizes and Payouts
USAC Permit #2016-456

Minimum field size for full payout
is 15 riders.

If less than 15 riders in a field, payouts get reduced by 25%

Jerseys, medals, and prizes are not
affected by field size

If a field has less than 10 riders it
may be combined with another
category and separated in results.
If this happens it will be announced following registration
close Friday.
