2014 Fall UMW Area APDA Training and Conference Otter Tail Power Company is proud to announce Mike Terbrueggen and Neil Lindgren as the presenters at the Fall UMW Area APDA Training and Conference. This 32 hour NERC CEH course will cover an in-depth review of Dynamics of Disturbances (Mike T.) along with a review of forth coming changes in the NERC standard requirements (Dennis O.) This course is designed not only to provide a review of Disturbances and NERC changes, but is also an excellent chance to interact and train next to the individuals you will be working along side, on a daily basis to ensure the reliability of the bulk electric system. Partial NERC CEH Credit will not be issued. OTP_002 will be issuing the NERC CEHs for your participation in this Training Conference. Mike Terbrueggen CEO, O-T-S Mike Terbrueggen was born in Grosse Pointe, Michigan in 1954. He graduated from De La Salle High School in 1972. Upon graduation in 1972 he entered the U.S. Army and was stationed in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was in the 4th infantry with the 4th Combat Engineers. He has two daughters, one son, and two grandsons and lives in Longmont, Colorado where, in his spare time, enjoys golfing and hiking. Mike’s undergraduate degree is from Michigan and is in Electronics Engineering. His graduate degree is from University of Colorado and is in Power Engineering. Mike formed Operations-Training-Solutions in 1994, is the CEO and Principal Engineer, and designs, develops, and delivers advanced training seminars, develops training programs and materials, and provides consulting services for power operations and engineering personnel. Dennis O’Hara CEO, Reliability Matters & Northern Images Photography Dennis O’Hara graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a degree in Industrial Technology.Dennis worked for Minnesota Power in System Operations for 29 years, including 6 years as the System Operations Trainer. Retiring in 2006, Dennis currently owns and operates a photography business in Duluth Minnesota specializing in scenic nature photography. Dennis also continues to instruct on-line courses covering NERC Standards and emergency operations through Bismarck State College. Dennis also compiled a new course this year of issues associated with shift work.
