scientifically proven to answer this question.
But here, you are not at school… Let’s put science aside and let’s enter an unknown
world. Welcome to the land of the ZUICKS.
ZUICKS
HI ! Let me introduce myself, I am Master of this place,
Master Kael.

Do you want to know why it’s so cold in winter? Perfect! First let me tell you a
story:
The Zuicks lived not far from Earth on a tiny
planet hidden from earthling eyes by a veil of
clouds. A long time ago, the humans and the
Zuicks knew each other well. The Earthlings
gave us beautiful fresh fruit and vegetables
and the Zuicks helped them as much as they
could by giving them sun and rain when it was
necessary. In fact, our mission is to control
rainfall and fine weather alike. Well, I should
really say was because dark events took place and we have since then lost
control over the weather.
The Emperor of Mongolia invited me to a great feast in honour of the Zuicks and their treasures from the sky.
My biggest mistake was accepting this invitation when my mission was already here. But, as I’m sure you
can understand, I am greedy and the idea of this great feast organised in my honour was simply irresistible.
What is more, my little Zuicks were staying put to keep an eye on things here.
However, some unexplainable events took place and when I returned, nothing
was working anymore! From that disastrous day on, we have been banished from
Earth and the humans have since forgotten our name and even our existence.
We have been desperately trying to repair the « Climatisor » but it is complex
and for the moment we have not managed. On the contrary, sometimes we have
even caused catastrophes on Earth. It’s really terrible!
I think I know now what happened. My eight apprentices are great players and always looking for fun. They
were in the laboratory and they had invented snow. They stopped supervising the « Climatisor » as they were
enjoying themselves so much playing with this new substance!

The next day, the humans complained because the weather had not been fine and my apprentices went back
to their work providing rain and fine weather as requested.
That evening, they were frustrated at not having had as much fun as the day before
and ONE OF THEM decided to integrate the snow function into the « Climatisor ».
Oh, I must say that the idea in itself wasn’t a bad one, but the « Climatisor » wasn’t
ready to create this cold substance and I think it went out of control. A wild storm
started inside the machine, which ended up by exploding.
Unfortunately during the final explosion of the machine, my
apprentices completely lost their memories. Fragments of
their memories flew through the air and crashed in the
mountains. I saw humans find them and lock them up in
boxes. As the Earth has banished us, maybe you can help us
find our memories. We could then find he who sabotaged the
machine and regain our lost honour!
I need to know what each of my apprentices was doing at that crucial moment, just
before the explosion. This is for you to find out. Find the memories of each one and
tick in the table below the place where he/she was. Be careful, the guilty party may have falsified his
memory, so you must find all the boxes and check the answers. There must be at least 2 identical memories
for it to be valid. Good Luck!

Clues to find boxes:
BOX 1 : At the departure of the « Petit Vallon » ski lift, on a big tree.
BOX 2 : In the middle of the Trabanta ski run, on the left of the departure of the Theytaz 2
(snowpark), before the crossing which leads to the Ethérolla chairlift, there is a little « bump » with
a few trees on top. The box is on one of these trees.
BOX 3 : The box is at the end of the slope of Theytaz 1, on a post.
BOX 4 : At the arrival of the Piccolo ski lift, on the right, on a post.
BOX 5 : Swiss Snow Kids Village cabin, on the plateau of Thyon.
BOX 6 : Towards the Tipi, at the entrance to the Swiss Snow Kids Village, on a post.
BOX 7 : On the Cheminée run, after the schuss on a tree on the right.
BOX 8 : On the Inalpe run, on the right in a cluster of trees.
