5PM Welcome to the sandy shores of CAPE COD. Extending
some 70 miles into the sea, the Cape is home to both natural beauty
and quaint colonial villages. You can walk pristine beaches, revel in
the arts and culture, and reclaim childhood memories of seashells,
sandcastles, and saltwater taffy. Your LOCAL GUIDE will meet you
at your lodging and will assist with check in.
A WELCOME RECEPTION will be held in your honor where you
will receive a complimentary print by a LOCAL ARTIST just for coming along.
DINNER is included this evening.
TUESDAY, MAY 10, 2016
EXTENDED CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST is included this
morning at your hotel.
Your LOCAL GUIDE will meet you at your hotel and will escort
you to the HY-LINE DOCKS where you will board the HIGH SPEED
ferry to the stunning island of NANTUCKET. Upon arrival your guide
will point out the restaurants, galleries, shops, and museums that are
within walking distance to the dock. Admission is included on a NANTUCKET ISLAND TOUR at a time to be specified by your guide.
Lunch and shopping are on your own. Please remember to wear comfortable walking shoes for the cobblestone streets and brick sidewalks
that line Nantucket’s downtown area.
Back in Hyannis a stop will be made at the John F. Kennedy Memorial and the Korean War Memorial and a view of St. Francis Xavier

Your LOCAL GUIDE will meet you at your hotel for a full day of

CENTER. Sand dunes and the ocean surround you as you approach
“Land’s End” – PROVINCETOWN. You are now at the extreme tip
of Cape Cod. Formerly known as the “Province Lands” the pilgrims
landed here first before they decided to settle across the Bay in Plymouth. Take some time to enjoy the wonderful variety of restaurants,
shops, and galleries that make this artists/fishermen village so unique.
This afternoon you may choose to board an excursion vessel for
an amazing experience of WHALE WATCHING. You will travel into
the natural habitat of a diverse marine environment including birds

Joseph T. Simpson Public Library
Accredited by the Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations,
Earns Seal of Excellence
Joseph T. Simpson Public Library is a recipient of the Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations’
Seal of Excellence for successfully completing their rigorous Standards for Excellence® accreditation program. Joseph T. Simpson Public Library voluntarily opened itself up to analysis by a “jury of its peers.” The
peer review team examined Joseph T. Simpson Public Library for compliance with the Standards for Excellence®: An Ethics and Accountability Code for the Nonprofit Sector, in areas including: Mission and Program,
Governing Body, Conflict of Interest, Human Resources, Financial and Legal, Openness, Fundraising, Public
Affairs and Public Policy. Simpson Library is the first library in Pennsylvania to earn this accreditation.
PANO evaluates fundamental values such as honesty, integrity, fairness, respect, trust, responsibility, and
accountability, all of which are inherently important in the nonprofit world. Joseph T. Simpson Public Library’s
programs and services, management, fundraising and financial practices were subjected to in-depth examination prior to earning accreditation.
Sue Erdman, Library Director of Joseph T. Simpson Public Library comments, “The library Board of Trustees
set a goal of achieving Standards for Excellence accreditation because they believe in the importance of
excellence in nonprofit governance and management. The Standards for Excellence gave them the opportunity to closely examine existing policies and procedures, revise where needed, and create new policies and
procedures that we did not have in place.”
“This program required the active participation of all members of our board and reinforced the importance
of their fiduciary role in the governance of the library. Transparency is critical today for nonprofits. We feel
confident that our donors believe in our mission and trust how our organization is managed,” says Charles
B. Achuff, Jr., president of Joseph T. Simpson Public Library’s Board of Trustees.
“The Seal of Excellence is granted to well-managed, responsibly governed organizations that are deserving
of the public’s trust,” explains Tish Mogan, Standards
for Excellence Director for PANO. “Joseph T. Simpson
Public Library’s Board and staff have shown an extensive level of commitment to this process, and their
pursuit of the Seal of Excellence confirms that they
believe strongly in promoting a culture of ethics in
their operations and governance.”
Anne Gingerich, PANO’s Executive Director, adds “Joseph T. Simpson Public Library can focus even more
fully on advancing their mission of providing comprehensive library resources for learning and leisure beSam’s Club Mechanicsburg is hiring for
