Here’s what we like to see in our featured print and online editorials: 1 Idiosyncratic themes with dark undertones. 4 Independent or high-end labels. 2 Up-and-coming models with badass attitude and an unconventional look. 5 Brave and bold styling. 6 Imaginative concepts that do not mimic current editorials. 3 Feminine and masculine juxtaposition. minimal animal by nuala swan GUIDELINES We are obsessed with unique themes and memorable content. 1 Previously published work. 2 Sexy lingerie themes. That said, please make sure your submission does not feature any of the following: 3 Bikini/beachwear shoots. 4 Commercial and catalogue posing. 5 Overly-photoshopped models. 6 Defamatory or insulting content. 7 One photo option of each look. aurora by lucie crewdson PHOTOGRAPHY The editorial story all starts and ends with the photographer, therefore it’s vital that you abide by these rules before submitting to TEETH. 1 Location should be unique and planned and not look like an afterthought. 2 Images must be strong and able to stand out on their own. 3 Model must show variety, movement and attitude. 4 Submissions must display a story and artistic vision. This does not mean placing a model somewhere random and calling it an ‘editorial’. 5 Don’t be afraid to play with angles, clothing, objects and atmosphere! oblique city by franey miller PHOTOGRAPHY SUBMISSION TIPS In order to create the highest quality, most badass editorial for our website or future print issues, please follow these required tips before submitting your work to TEETH. 1 There must be a minimum of 5 different outfits or looks per submission. 2 Please do not submit your photos in layouts. 3 Photos must be submitted in high res jpeg files at least 1500px in width. 4 If submitting for an upcoming print issue, submissions must feature current pieces and/or trends for the intended issue’s season. 5 The more image/styling options, the better! lorelle by camilla sverdrup-thygeson STYLING TEETH loves showcasing unique, quirky, streamlined fashion. 1 Stylists should follow these guidelines in order to create a kickass wardrobe for our online + print editorials: 2 3 Clothing should be in season unless it’s high-end vintage.
