benefit over 1000 destitute children in the
Independence School District.

Two years ago Cargo Largo owner, Dee
Pack, saw the startling number of homeless
children in our community and formed
Cargo for Kids.
This non-profit
initiative provides
school supplies to
these children in
hopes of giving
them a sense of
dignity, pride and
security for the
first day of school.
Through Cargo for Kids, the
Independence School District is able to
provide a backpack filled with essential
school supplies for each grade level, along
with personal items that may also be needed.
Our goal is to give them the most
fundamental tools to have a successful school
year.
