Adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament begins THIS FRIDAY, September 2nd, with Mass at 7:30AM and concludes with Benediction at 4PM, at St. Mary Church. Volunteers are needed to spend one scheduled hour in Adoration so that there are always at least two people present with our Lord. Please sign up on the sheet at the entrance to the church. There are worship aides available in Church, or you may bring your own prayer books and rosaries. LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS FOR THE ANNUAL CORN BOIL SEPTEMBER 4TH, 12NOON-3:30PM It is the Annual Corn Boil / pork shop sandwich time! The St. Anne’s CCW Circle leaders have been calling households of the parish for donations of fresh vegetables and pies. They are also recruiting workers; men, women, teens and children to help make this event a success. Also, there is a need for people to help husk the sweet corn after the 8:00am Mass on September 4. On the menu - Pork chop sandwich at $7.50/person or hot dog at $3.00/person, "all you can eat" sweet corn, garden fresh vegetables, wonderful pies, & beverages. Tell your family and friends. DIVORCE HEALING PROGRAM There’s no such thing as a Catholic divorce…, but Catholics do civilly divorce. The Catholic’s Divorce Survival Guide is a program that will meet for 12 weeks beginning September 6th, at 6:30 PM in the lower meeting room of St. Rita Catholic Church (6254 Valley Knoll Drive, Rockford). HIKE FOR LIFE SEPTEMBER 17, 2016 MIDWAY VILLAGE WALKING PATH ROCKFORD, IL The Pregnancy Care Center of Rockford will hold its Hike for Life on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the Midway Village walking path. The Pregnancy Care Center is supported entirely by donations and these proceeds go toward providing: pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, options mentoring, education/ instruction, practical resources and many other useful services.
