di ed in Los Ange les on October 12, at
the age of B4. He made his name in
th e 1960. Jones's last major producing
cre dit was the 1978 TV mini -series A
Woman Colfed Moses (w ith Cice ly Tyson
as Harriet Tubm an). His ma rriage in 1961
to Swedish-born actress Inger Stevens
w as kept sec ret to avoid harming her
career. Stevens died of a drug overdose
in what was ruled as suic ide.
