SWIM, SURF, & SUN! 2008 Sponsorship Packet Locations TBA August 2008 Splash Model Management introduced the first “Virginia Fashion Week” November 911 2007 presenting NY style fashion shows to standing room only crowds at the Contemporary Art Center of Virginia in Virginia Beach and at Club Mojo in Norfolk. Designers featured in 2007 included Project Runway personalities Kayne and Zulema, Karen Domino White, April Spring, Michael Taylor, Mathew Cashe, and 10 others ranging from urban to couture. It provided a terrific showcase for emerging fashion designers, and models, resulting in clothing sales, job bookings and an overall positive impact on the fashion and beauty industry throughout the state. Virginia Fashion Week will be bigger and better in 2008 with more shows, more advertising, more fashions, more press, and more sponsors! Exact dates TBA. • “Swim, Surf, Sun” will feature a series of professional runway shows in the style of the “Miami Swim” event that is an annual production of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. • The region’s top female and male swimwear models from Splash Model Management will walk the runways. • Local swimwear & surf stores will participate showing the top international lines. • Cutting edge designers from the local area such as “Foxers” and “OC” and others to be announced will debut their ‘09 swimwear collections! • Sponsoring venders will be able to show and sell their merchandise and promote their services during the event. • A “Playbill” styled program will be created to commemorate the event and promote the sponsors, designers, and contributors. www.vafashionweek.net vafashionweek@cox.net PRODUCTION STAFF SPLASH MODEL MANAGEMENT Ann Leister is the owner and director of Splash Model Management and has produced or co-produced five bridal fashion shows, a fashion show for Operation Smile, and multiple fashion shows for various organizations in the greater Hampton Roads area. In addition, she has cast actors and models in regional and national commercials, TV shows, magazines and ad campaigns. Having attended and studied fashion events in New York (including Mercedes Benz Fashion Week), Washington DC, Las Vegas, Los Angesles, and Miami, Ann created the concept that has become VA Fashion Week as a way to bring professional fashion shows to the Hampton Roads area planning and coordinating VA Fashion Week from start to finish. ROGUE PRODUCTIONS Ron Cooke is a nationally recognized fashion coordinator and stylist to the celebrities having produced fashion shows during New York’s Fashion Week as well as in DC, Atlanta, Miami, and other regions. His company Rogue Productions has worked with world renown designers, politicians, athletes, musicians, and actors. He is also an established stylist having dressed an assortment of today’s hottest celebrities for various national magazines, commercials, and events. Ron directed the rehearsal and runway activities of the 2007 events, giving the VA Fashion Week runway the look and feel of NY Fashion Week. JADE Z INC Jade Zillig is a professional model, make-up artist and licensed Master Aesthetician operating her business Jade Z Inc. She served as makeup director for the Virginia Fashion Week 2007 events in addition to modeling in several shows. ELITE CONCIERGE SPECIALIST Lilly Rusco of Elite Concierge Specialist is an expert at taking care of the all-important details. As backstage manager and assistant to producers, Lilly was responsible for multiple tasks ranging from chauffeuring and entertaining our celebrity designers to managing the busy and hectic dressing room and fitting room. www.vafashionweek.net vafashionweek@cox.net PRESS/WEBSITE • Radio stations BOB FM and Energy 106.1 provided advertising for the 2007 event with addition pr coverage provided by BluMonkey TV, WVEC Noon News, HamptonRoads.tv, The Virginian Pilot, Link 757, Hampton Roads Magazine, and numerous blogs. In 2008, VA Fashion Week plans to also launch a massive TV and print advertising campaign. • A website www.vafashionweek.net has been created to allow Basic Sponsorships, Tickets, and Passes to be issued online. Customers and sponsors will be able to pay using a credit card through Paypal processing and receive a printable confirmation. Sponsors and designers will be listed on the website. Sponsors at the bronze level and above will have their logo and a link to their website. • In addition a myspace.com/vafashionweek is up and running showing pictures and video from the 2007 event and will be promoting the sponsors, designers, and contributors of the 2008 events as they sign on. • Local, regional, and national press will be present at the Sun/Surf/Swim runway showcase.
