By the grace of God, and a lot of hard work by our construction partners, this phase of our facility expansion
is on the home stretch. Within a matter of just a couple of weeks we will have access to the new areas and
will be able to utilize the space to expand our ministry and mission – Together in Christ that others may
know Christ.
On the Outside:
 The storm drain extension is near complete with only re-grading and clean-up left.
 Courtyard sod has been laid and finishing touches are underway. It looks amazing!
 Parking area near the new school entrance has been re-paved.
 All doors and windows are in.
 The construction fence has been removed and site clean-up is in progress.
On the Inside:
 The ceiling has been painted and wall paint is near complete.
 The HVAC is up and running.
 Dropped ceilings and electrical fixtures are being installed.
 Installation of cabinetry, flooring, and interior clean-up will follow shortly.
What Next?
 We remain on-track for a Temporary Occupancy Permit in Early July with punch-list items taking us to
mid-July when we expect to have our final occupancy permit.
 Glass panels and doorway between the Narthex and the new area have been removed.
 Go to work for God.

Thank You!
The Christ Lutheran Church & School Green

Although aluminum prices are down to $0.35
cents a pound, we still collected 76 lbs for a total
of $26.60. The money raised is planned to help
fund Christ Lutheran’s participation in the
Christmas Light Recycling Drive, which in turn

Thank You CLC Family!!!
Thank you so much for your prayers,
cards, kind words, hugs ,gifts and for
putting together a wonderful retirement
celebration and recognition of ministry.
I am truly blessed by the outpouring of
your love and grace.
In Christ,
Leta Sprecher
Thanks, too, for my CLC family and friends who proved
support in the way of cards, calls and prayers.
In the midst of all my illnesses this past month, we also
celebrated our 51st wedding anniversary and calls and
cards were received for that as well.
I feel truly blessed!!
Blessings to all,
“I don’t know if you’ve noticed – I’m guessing you have – but the world is a mess. Things are broken. People are broken.
And we run down different paths looking for answers. This is true for people both inside and outside the church. But the
glorious reality of the gospel is this: Christ changes everything.”
Matt Chandler, Lead Pastor of Teaching
The Village Church in Dallas/Fort Worth
In REDEMPTION: How Christ Changes Everything, Pastor Kunze and Pastor Meyers will take us on the journey of asking
how Christ changes every part of your life and mine. We will learn the answers that transform our minds, our hearts and
our day to day lives to live life in the abundance Jesus intended. There messages will be based on the themes of Matt
Chandler’s series RECOVERING REDEMPTION.
Small Groups and the Sunday morning adult bible study will use Matt Chandler’s teaching and study materials, RECOVERING REDEMPTION for their study topic throughout the fall semester. You will not want to miss this!

Friends -- About a year ago, Christ Lutheran Care Ministry Team organized a fellowship group for those aged
55+. Since then we’ve enjoyed many varied activities together like an ice cream social, train ride, touring a historical
mansion, dining out on German food, pot-luck soup and chili, gorged on desserts, sponsored foster children at Christmas, enjoyed a hayride, an evening of table games, and in June a picnic-pot-luck thanks to Carole Vahsholtz who hosted a fun evening of good food and fellowship, not dampened by the rain! Each event was planned by one of us who took
responsibility to set the activity, time and place. August will find us at the home of Jim and Susan Wright -- details
above. But the fall and winter months are blank. That’s where you come in! We can attend one of the many
plays, concerts or even Shakespeare in the park? Maybe splurge for an evening or matinee at dinner theatre? Winery
visit? What would YOU like to do? If you’re busy, let’s make it a potluck at church! Please consider making some
plans and hosting an upcoming event for our group, and let Melissa Wenzl know so they can get the word out.
If you plan it, we WILL come!

“But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31
These inspired words of God offer us a timely, spiritual reminder as we recently closed out
another school year and look forward to the days ahead. “Those who hope in the LORD” – as the
prophet Isaiah speaks – are those today who firmly hold onto the unchanging promises of God’s
Holy Word and profess their faith and true hope in Jesus Christ. It is my prayer that each of us
would always remember the blessings that are ours through faith in Christ. May the “days of
summer” offer special opportunities to share God’s love in Christ with others.
Once again, a heartfelt “thank you” to each and every one of the Griffin families who have
made me (along with the Vandemark family) feel so warm and welcome this past school year. I am
so very proud of the effort of our students as they continue on their faith journey, working towards
becoming the future generation of Christian leaders. Also, I am very proud of the number of service
opportunities in which our students participated, whether it was at school, in our local community,
or globally.
Have a blessed rest of the summer and may Jesus always keep you in His care. And remember
students…it’s great to be a Griffin!
In and through Him,

On June 8-12, 220+ children and 60+ volunteers attended VBS and
learned about our mighty God. The children raised over $430 to go
toward children in Thailand receiving New Testaments. We thank ALL
who participated in attendance, in prayer, and in donation! May God bless
you for your amazing support of our VBS every year at Christ Lutheran!
