With the advent of social network sites like
Facebook a common phrase has become “you have a
friend request” or “(person’s name) wants to be your
friend.” This raises the question – What is a friend?
The dictionary defines a friend in a number of ways,
however the one I like best is an ally in a fight or cause;
supporter.
These are the friends that we have and need at Streets
Alive. Those people who believe in what we do and who
are committed to helping in whatever way they can.
Those people who see the work that we do as important,
valuable and making a difference in our community.
Those people who recognize that we are in a fight for the
lives of those we are trying to help.

Streets Alive is planning to raise an estimated $800,000 this year on fundraising campaigns. It will cost our organization an
estimated $92, 000.The money raised will be used to provide services for the homeless in Lethbridge.
