Ngatari
Ngatari is a Japanese duo based in Tokyo composed of Jessica,
a singer and Marei Suyama, a composer / producer.
Their lyrics deconstruct and reconstruct everything with pungency and Jessica's
emotional vocals melt into borderless and modern pop sound.
They released their debut album "Fossil of a spruce" in Oct 2008.
Thay have shows regularly in Tokyo and other cities in Japan, had a few shows
in Italy, and joined a lineup of the music festival called "PROGRESSIVE
FOrM Presents New Sounds of Tokyo" which featured Keiichi Shibuya,
Aoki Takamasa and Ametsub. Also performed at "De La FANTASIA" which
featured Haruomi Hosono from YMO, Masakatsu Takagi, Van Dyke Parks,
Clare and The Reasons and Shugo Tokumaru. Furthermore, they had a special
show with a dancer.
In 2012, Ngatari composed songs for the animation movie called
"BELUGA" directed by Shin Hashimoto. This movie was awarded a special
prize of ASIFA (Association Internationale du Film d’ Animation).
Also participated in compilation albums e.g."The Girl from Ipanema : Antonio
Carlos Jobim tribute", "Ryuichi Sakamoto Tribute". Ryuichi Sakamoto paid
compliments to their high quality songs.

Jessica
Jessica is a Japanese singer. She studied under professional vocal
trainers and learned vocalization for both pop and classical music.
In 2000, she debuted with Pony Canyon and started her career as
a professional singer. She released 1 album and 5 eps. Collaborated with
DE DE MOUSE, mono, world's end girlfriend, joseph nothing and released 5
collaboration albums.
Her activities include many different fields; performs solo shows
in Japan, joins festivals and shows inside and outside Japan, performed with
Salyu, SPITZ, Chihiro Onitsuka, joined as a guest singer for several albums.
She appears on TV / radio programs and sings the ending song of a radio
program.

Marei Suyama
He studied composition at Kunitachi College of Music and
moved to Italy in 2000. At Conservatorio di Musica di Milano, he studied
under Alberto Soresina, contemporary musician and teacher.
After coming back to Japan, he started to compose for stages,
movies and films. Composed songs for TV commercials for Audi Japan TV,
PANASONIC, ROHTO Pharmaceutical Co. Also wrote songs for ragna
moon, a fashion house. He worked on Akira Uno's exhibition and
"TOKYO ANIMA" exhibition at The National Art Center. Also composed
music for some TV programs and played the piano on a famous TV program,
which was broadcast nationally.
In 2012, he established Pavut Acoustic / Music Office with
Kennji Miyamoto.
