We have a robust Puppy
raiser program. Our dogs
are raised in loving homes
where they are acclimated
to family living, preparing
them for their forever
homes.
Angel Service Dogs ™and
Inc. Liberty Service Dogs
™ also educates each
volunteer about the
challenges the family and
their dog will help face on a
daily basis. It genuinely
makes the 18 months they
have their dog well worth
the effort!
Education is Key! Puppy Raisers are
taught dog obedience, specialty skills
and are certified in K-9 CPR, and Dog
Trauma.This sets the framework of our
future Service Dog’s obedience and
specialty tasks.
Nicole was a recipient of
one of our Puppy Raiser
scholarships. She not only
helped train a dog to help a
child with life threatening
allergies, she now uses her
knowledge of dogs to walk
the runway in New York City!
You may recognize this
famous pooch from the hit
movie Annie.
Big Dog Mud Run—We Won! Teen Puppy Raisers supporting the Angel Service
Dogs ™, Inc. and Liberty Service Dogs ™, Inc mission to raise awareness and
helped the local Humane Society. Taking the best time was also a bonus. To
date, over $10,000 has been awarded in scholarships AND over a dozen of these
teens have received phone calls from moms and dads thanking them for saving
their child’s life.
Throughout the year, our team goes into communities
to educates people about Angel Service Dogs™ and
Liberty Service Dogs™.
We have also brought awareness by participating in
multiple Scholastic news magazines. Educating about
Tourettes, food allergies, and service dogs can be fun.
Angel Service Dogs ™ Staff got
a chance to spend time at a
food allergy camp in Texas.
Our Allergy Alert™ Service
Dogs were used to sweep the
dorms before campers arrived
to check for allergens. This
was a great demonstration of
what our dogs can do! Staff
also helped educate campers
and parents alike about food
allergies and how Allergy
Alert™ Dogs help.
Three participants in the camp
are clients of Angel Service
Dogs ™. Tasks those dogs
helped with included detecting
peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, and
dairy; in addition to emotional
support, repetitive motion
interruption and other tasks as
needed by their human partner.
Once our dogs go to their forever home, the
client’s new normal begins. Families can now
do simple things like going to the park or a trip
to the movies!

Our Service Dogs are attending schools
from California to Philadelphia. From
coast to coast we are helping kids reach
their full potential.
For many of our families, holidays can be very
stressful. Thanks to their Service Dog, our
families are able to recapture the joy of the
holidays!
Dear Angel Service Dog family,
There are no words to convey how proud I am to be serving as the Angel Service Dogs™, Inc.,
Liberty Service Dogs™, Inc. (ASDi/LSDi) Board President. Two years ago my family, with the
encouragement of our daughter Freida’s medical team, made the decision to start looking for a Service
Dog. The word “No,” was something heard a lot. “Her medical situation is just not one we are training
for, we are so sorry, and we wish you lots of luck.” Angel Service Dogs did not say “No,” they said, “Let’s
think this out carefully. What does she need and how can a Service Dog help her?” Like many of the
ASDi/LSDi families, we had tears of relief and joy. Finally, help from people who get it!
Soon Bravo came home. We had new confidence and the skills needed to succeed. Our efforts
paid off! Three weeks after Bravo came home Freida had one of her idiopathic anaphylactic reactions.
Bravo woke her up and alerted us to what was going on. Our fear of her having a reaction while sleeping
happened, however, Bravo intervened! Then the ambulance came. Usually, that would be a relief.
Bravo was still on the job! He kept alerting. We then realized the EMTs had just eaten cookies full of her
allergens. Without Bravo this would have put her at risk for contact anaphylaxis. Bravo did not just save
her life once that night, he saved her twice. Places we never considered going, we started to consider.
Freida was given a wish to Disney. We never would have been able to go without Bravo. All over Disney
people stopped us beyond impressed with his training. He kept her safe giving her a reaction free week
where she was able to laugh and play like any other kid. Our home, our life, we are now larger than life!
For my family, these are pivotal experiences which made us want to step up in much bigger ways
to make sure more families could have their own Bravos. Understanding the process is a very big
advantage. We are in the shoes of the ASDi/LSDi families. To receive a Service Dog requires hard work
from the mental preparation to the fundraising. For our family hard work prevailed! Our benefit concert
with the Chassidic sensation 8th Day, my husband Dan’s birthday campaign resulting in his hot pink hair,
our amazing Bar/Bat Mitzvah kids, and the help of friends and companies like you.
Every time a new contract is signed and the family is feeling those tears of relief and joy, I am
brought back to the day we signed our contract and how much that day changed our life. We have a lot
of exciting things for ASDi on the horizon. A new platform for fundraising has been put into action, we are
working on a capital campaign to update our infrastructure, and our executive director is always thinking
of new challenges to throw at our dogs in training so they will be completely ready for their forever
homes. We have a lot to be proud of! Thank you in advance for the help you have extended to the Angel
