Spanish Language Editor: As we come to the close of DSACC's 15th year of serving the Central Valley, I realize more and more how amazing our community is and what a blessing it is to be able to serve such amazing individuals, families and supporters. We've had some laughs, some cries and lots of love this past year and I look forward to what the next year brings. In 2015 you will see a new look to The Extra!, our bi-monthly newsletter. It will be getting a much needed face lift to make it easier to read, bring more information to you, and each issue will feature a spotlight on volunteers, families and friends who help DSACC fulfill their mission to enhance the quality of life for all people whose lives are touched by Down syndrome. Some of the changes you will see in this issue as we revamp the calendar section and re-work the front page... more changes will come, but here's a small preview! As we begin the new year, I would like to challenge everyone to a few small things... 1. Do something kind for another family at least once a month in 2015 (like inviting them to a play date!) 2. While you may not be able to chair a committee, help DSACC round up gift baskets, items or services for our silent auction areas at Sweetheart Luncheon, Tee Up Golf Tournament, and Step Up...as a small staff, we need your help! 3. As a household, donate $5 a month to DSACC to help us continue providing FREE (or close to free) educational, professional, and social events for you, our members & the community! Every dollar helps! Thank you and Happy Holidays! Jennifer Whiting- Program Director Lourdes Arias Lourdes@dsacc.org Contact Information: Down Syndrome Association of Central California 1491 W.
