Harris #109 Pingree Grove Police 1) Oil / Filter change 2007 - White Dodge Durango #102 (Patrol) This month ending mileage: 148,189 Last month ending mileage: 148,067 Total mileage driven: 122 Total cost on routine maintenance: $0.00 Total cost on Repairs: $0.00 During December there were three people arrested/cited resulting in 5 charges. An Algonquin resident was arrested following a traffic crash investigation at Route 47 and Route72. A computer check of the participants revealed that one driver had an active Failure to Appear Warrant. A Pingree Grove resident was arrested and charged with Domestic Battery after officers were called to a residence for a disturbance on Driftwood between a mother and her adult son. A Pingree Grove resident was stopped at Wester Blvd. and Route 72 for Disobeying A Traffic Control Device and subsequently was arrested for No Drivers License. 12-01: Verbal Alterca on between grandmother and grandson, who is reportedly out of control and is not taking Rx. When confronted about alcohol use, the boy has become verbally abusive. Referred to DCFS. 140 min. 12-01: Noise complaint on Diamond Head Trail regarding a vehicle revving engine. UTL, 40 min. 12-02: TheC to business on Public St. Unk person and truck seen on property and items moved around, possibly in prepara on for loading, but nothing taken. 45 min. 12-02: Assist to KCSO with a structure fire on Rt. 20. Fire personnel have trouble with resident who did not want to leave the property. Subject transported to St. Joseph Hospital. 70 min. 12-02: Follow up to verbal alterca on on 12-01. Wri en statement taken and addi onal referral info. 35 min. 12-03: Informa onal report referred to proper jurisdic on. Compl reports checks that were supposed to have been shredded apparently were not and later cashed at a food store. A y. General info provided. 60 min. 12-03: Driving complaint on Rt. 72 @ Reinking Rd. of a vehicle driving into oncoming traffic and on the shoulder. It was later thought to be a domes c dispute within the car. Unable to locate. 35 min . 12-03: Ongoing domes c issues between a resident and his elderly mother who has medical issues. Several assis ng social services agencies are involved, including DCFS. There are con nuing issues with the woman’s physical and mental health, her nutri on and where she will reside. Officers responded five mes over four days. Total me 770 min. 12-04: Assist to an Arizona PD regarding a lost or stolen iPad which was pawned in that state. Prior owner contacted who states he had traded it in and there was criminal ac vity involved. 40 min. 12-04: Juvenile complaint reported by neighbor who witnessed dangerous ac vity on the part of boy and fears possible safety issues with her children. Officer spoke with the mother who advised she would take proper ac on. 90 min. 12-04: Mini-bike / ATV complaint on the bike path behind Shelter Island. 2 officers checked. UTL, 60 min. 12-05: Noise complaint reported based upon loud yelling inside a residence. Residents contacted, sta ng argument was over a disabled vehicle in garage. Peace restored. 40 min. 12-05: Assist Gilberts PD with a boyfriend / girlfriend physical domes c. The offender drove off but was located and arrested. 45 min. 12-06: Personal injury, two car crash @ Reinking & Damisch Rds. Injured driver refused transport. 120 min. 12-06: Ongoing situa on, originally reported as a Suspicious Incident or possible Burglary concerning the loss of numerous personal items removed from a garage. Inves ga on revealed that the garage was entered by subcontractors hired to do a cleanout, but who entered the wrong unit. Subjects were contacted and advised they did have the lost items and would return everything. Total repor ng, inves ga on and property handling occurred over six days with nine calls for service. Total me 545 min. 12-06: Suspicious noises reported as footsteps inside the residence, knocking on the front and back doors. Officers made exterior and interior searches, finding nothing extraordinary. Outside Christmas decora ons possibly the cause. 105 min. 12-06: Suspicious persons reported by refused compl, that six people were walking around the bike path wearing skull masks. Subjects were located by officers, who found only two were wearing masks and they were simply walking to a friend’s house, using the masks against the cold weather. 45 min. 12-06: Assist to ci zen regarding a child visita on dispute, which actually occurred in Algonquin. Documenta on made because compl does not wish to deal with APD. McHenry County court order provided but lacked proper signatures and filing stamp. 60 min. 12-07: Village Tree Ligh ng. Chief, Deputy Chief, Sgt. and three officers volunteered their me. 900 min. 12-07: Damage to outside Christmas decora ons. Light string wires cut. Reoccurrence from last year. 40 min. 12-07: Informa onal report wherein the compl was concerned about driving ac ons of her ex-husband when the children were in the car, in viola on of a court order. A check through SOS did not show the restric ons stated by the compl. Custody order not enforceable by police. Documenta on only. 60 min. 12-08: A check of homes under construc on in the area of Padre Island and Sarasota Dr. revealed that five separate units were unsecured. Searches revealed no theC or damage. All houses resecured. 105 min. 12-10: Assist to Hampshire PD and ISP, both at the Road Ranger Truck Stop. HPD requested help in dealing with numerous juveniles harassing customers inside a store and the state Police requested assistance with a warrant arrest. Both situa ons resolved. 45 min. 12-10: Welfare check requested for officer to respond to a residence because his children had not been picked up from school. No signs of ac vity at the home. Caller arranged for children to be picked up. 45 min. 12-10: Assist ci zen in dispute between compl, his girlfriend and girlfriend’s roommate. Caller had been visi ng his newborn child when he told to leave by the roommate. Verbal disagreement only. 60 min. 12-11: Welfare check requested by caller who wanted her son removed from her premises because of a disagreement over a cell phone. The adult son agreed to leave and relinquish the phone. He was transported to PGPD to make arrangements to be picked up. 145 min. 12-11: A reported suspicious incident of a possible cannabis viola on. Caller thought he saw a planted cannabis plant growing in the second floor window of a home. Officers responded and determined it was a tomato plant. 90 min. 12-12: Compl reports a suspicious phone call form someone claiming to be from an alarm company. The caller asked several ques ons regarding windows, doors, pets and alarms. Compl did respond to some of the ques ons and is now unsure of the wisdom of giving answers. 30 min. 12-12: Assist to Carpentersville PD loca ng a subject wanted for a fuel drive off complaint. Subject located in town and claimed credit card transac on failed. Driver returned and se led payment. 60 min. 12-12: A road hazard with downed wires reported near the park at Reinking Rd and Oak St. Inves ga on revealed they were not powered but phone lines. AT &T no fied. 30 min. 12-12: Inves ga on of a Facebook / Western Union Fraud scam. Compl no fied via Facebook that he had won a lo ery prize but needed to send money first to cover taxes and fees. Two payments wired to Arizona but one was stopped before pickup. Inves ga on iden fied suspects and contact made in a empt to restore vic m’s loss. Case is ongoing. 210 min. Follow up 12-18, 12-19 (two reports) and 12-20. Addi onal 170 min. 12-14: Property damage crash between a deer vs. car in the intersec on of Rt. 47 and Reinking Rd. Deer deceased, no personal injury, no cita ons. 75 min. 12-14: Delayed report (6 days) of CDTP to a garage door by allegedly overly aggressive vehicle repo people. Door panel had crack but no pry marks. Compl advised to call if they return and commit any crime. No leads or iden fiers furnished. 30 min. 12-14: Snowmobile complaint of units travelling at high speeds in the common area between Larkspur Ct and Yorkshire Ln. One driver located and issued verbal warning. Info added to Ordinance Warning List. 30 min. 12-15: Assist to Elgin PD with two car crash on Rt.20 at Switzer Rd. IDOT advised of road condi ons. 60 min. 12-15: Assist to Elgin PD with three car crash on Rt.20 at Switzer Rd. EMS responded. IDOT advised of adverse road condi ons. 45 min. 12-16: Parking complaint of vehicles blocking driveways. Officer located owners and had cars moved. One car was cketed and removed by tow truck. 80 min. 12-16: Follow up to loud party call with underage drinking. Mother / homeowner contacted upon returning from being out of town. 45 min. 12-16: Disorderly Conduct of two juveniles originated as an Indecent Exposure complaint. Addi onal inves ga on led to an ordinance viola on cita on to one of the youths. 195 min. 12-17: Driving Complaint of a car travelling at excessive speed and unsafe passing. Vehicle located and observed but no viola ons were seen. Caller was refused. 25 min. 12-17: Assist to Elgin PD with a van off the road on Rt. 20 at Switzer Rd. Tow truck dispatched. 30 min. 12-17: Verbal Domes c over many issues. Numerous calls to home for same type event. 70 min. 12-17: Welfare check requested from out of town friend because of out of character texts. Two a empts made before contact made and all appeared normal. Compl no fied. 45 min. 12-17: Assist to KCSO of a reported three car crash on Rt. 20 near Switzer Rd. that turned out to be a single car off in the ditch due to blowing snow and bad road condi ons. 25 min. 12-18: Assist KCSO with a one car roll over crash near South Starks. Traffic direc on provided. 110 min. 12-18: Single car property damage crash on Rt. 20 at Grove St. No injury, vehicle towed. 90 min. 12-18: Assist to EMS for a young man having medical problems. Stand by un l ambulance arrived. 30 min. 12-18: Single car crash of vehicle vs. sign post at Rt. 47 and Reinking Rd. 70 min. 12-19: Assist to KCSO looking for a hit and run vehicle from crash at Rts. 72 and 47. PGPD officer located vehicle driving on Reinking Rd. Crash report turned over to KCSO. 120 min. 12-19: Iden ty TheC where a fraudulent credit card was produced aCer a “card swipe” at Walgreens in Wisc. The store has video of purchase and will hold it for inves ga on. 120 min. Follow up on 12-26, 60 min. 12-19: Assist to EMS for a person having a panic a ack. Ambulance arrived but the subject declined transport. 40 min. 12-20: Ci zen Assist regarding a visita on dispute. Proper paperwork reviewed by officers and transfer of children made without incident. 90 min. 12-20: Animal Complaint concerning feral cats under a business trailer. The business manager was aware and said they were for mouse control. Business advised to have animals relocated. 40 min. 12-21: Assist KCSO with an IREACH rollover crash reportedly near North Starks. Loca on updated to Rt.72 and Brier Hill. Vehicle located in ditch with driver uninjured but stuck inside pickup truck. 55 min. 12-21: Premise Check of unsecure home under construc on. Interior and exterior searched and door secured. 25 min. 12-21: False residen al burglar alarm apparently set off by rela ve checking home. Proper code furnished. 55 min. 12-21: Ci zen Assist for a person moving out reques ng standby. Civil problem between roommates. 100 min. 12-21: Traffic Complaint concerning a traffic stop made by an IDOT supervisor on a truck towing a bobcat on a trailer. On scene inves ga on revealed the truck driver not in viola on and IDOT should refrain from stopping trucks. 45 min. 12-21: Assist to PG PW for illegally parked cars hindering snow removal and sal ng. All owners were contacted and cars removed without cita ons. 60 min. 12-21: Motorist Assist. Due to icy road condi ons and freezing rain a vehicle slid off roadway and was stuck in ditch. Officer standby un l vehicle removed by tow truck and no crash report needed. 80 min. 12-21: Motorist Assist. Another car slid off the road into the ditch by the Outpost Tavern. Vehicle pulled out and towed to residence in town. No crash reported needed. 80 min. 12-22: Noise Complaint. Refused Compl reports loud music from a ached neighbor in the condos on Aurora Dr. Subject contacted but officer did not hear an excessive sound level. Music turned off anyway. 45 min. 12-22: Found Dog was dropped off at PGPD aCer it was found wandering on Lancaster. Dog returned home. 90 min. 12-22: Snowmobile viola on observed by officer along the shoulder of E/B Rt.72 and RJ Brown. Driver was upset because he felt others get away with same ac vity. Machine’s and driver ID placed on warning list. 60 min. 12-22: ATV viola on observed by officer on S/B Reinking Rd. near Wester Blvd... Warning issued, driver and machine info placed on warning list. 45 min. 12-22: Custody Dispute at PGPD over return of children from scheduled visita on. An apparent miscommunica on over drop off me turned into an argument which was escalated when drop off was late. Exchange completed but one parent became irate and argumenta ve with officers, using profani es when advised to leave the sta on. 75 min. 12-22: Loud Music call from refused compl coming from a residence on Shamrock Ln. Not bona fide. 45 min. 12-23: Suspicious Noise called in by resident who thought someone was in the basement because of crashing sound and mo on sensor light ac vated in yard. Interior and exterior search was nega ve for intruder. 35 min. 12-23: Assist KCSO with a driving complaint on Rt.47 at I-90. Vehicle and driver located in town. T/O/T KCSO. 65 min. 12-24: False Entry Alarm to business. Interior and exterior check showed no tampering. Building secured. 45 min. 12-24: Verbal Domes c, non-arrest between mother and son over loud gaming device used during the early morning hours. Par es separated, IDV info provided. 140 min. 12-24: Assist KCSO with car vs. deer crash on W/B Rt.72 at Big Timber. Traffic direc on. 60 min. 12-26: Fraud complaint regarding advance payment and shipping costs for an auto engine purchased from a person in town by a person from PA. Buyer won a civil judgment in home state and has also registered it in Kane County. Compl was reques ng criminal ac on. Kane ASA declined criminal complaint and referred it to IL civil court. 80 min. 12-26: Annual Violent Offender registra on completed at PGPD. Info forwarded to KaneCom and ISP. 60 min. 12-27: Property Damage Accident of a snowmobile vs. security barrier cables at local business. Hit & run. 45 min. 12-27: Domes c Dispute, non-arrest between compl, brother and mother. Documenta on & case report. 90 min. Follow up ac on on 12-28 (two incidents) 120 min. 12-27: Officer located an unsecured home under construc on. Interior / exterior search nega ve. Secured. 40min 12-27: Non-arrest Domes c Dispute in progress called in by neighbor. Officers learned it originated with an argument over taking out the trash. IDVA forms supplied, wri en statements declined. Peace restored. 100 min. 12-28: Suicide Threat. Officers responded to an IREACH dispatch of a possible domes c dispute involving a couple in their home, where three children were present and one was in possession of a knife. One par cipant was located with some self-inflicted, non-life threatening cuts. Evidence collected, injuries photographed, subject transported by EMS. The sleeping children were not awakened. DCFS also contacted. Assists by KCSO and Gilberts PD. 230 min 12-29: Assist KCSO with two vehicle, injury crash on Rt.47 north of Big Timber Rd. Traffic control at scene. 55 min. 12-29: Suspicious vehicle in Carillon reported by security guard. A maroon car avoided the security gate by driving on wrong side of guard building. Vehicle not located aCer search by 3 squads. No license info. 85 min. 12-29: Assist to PG Water Dept. with overflow release from water tower icing up Rt.47. 70 min. 12-30: Property damage crash on Reinking Rd. where vehicle rear ended a garbage truck making pickup. Vehicle driver and children checked by EMS but not transported. 165 min. 12-31: Property damage crash at the roundabout when car struck business’s fence. Car towed. 145 min. 12-31: A postal worker sustained a dog bit when the animal bolted from its residence. Photos taken, County forms prepared and cita ons issued to dog owner. 60 min. 12-31: Assist KCSO with IREACH callout for a rollover crash with injuries on Rt.72 @ Thornau.
