Sew_Sisters_Fall_News_v2
We are really looking forward to an exciting fall season here at Sew Sisters Quilt Shop. We are enjoying our larger premises – including a newly renovated classroom – and have greatly expanded our inventory as well as our offerings! We have three new block of the month programs: a gorgeous 1930s sampler, a hand stitchery project with a North Woods (Muskoka) theme and a Bali Stars batik quilt that will take your breath away. We have a full range of classes scheduled this fall from beginner to more advanced and hope you will find many that will excite you! As always we will be at the Creative Festival this October and this show looks like it will be the best one ever! Our annual birthday sale is on the 14th of September and there will be a 29% discount on everything in the store (including previously reduced merchandise). This is the deepest discount of the year so be sure to mark your calendars. The store will be open extended hours and online shopping is also available. Finally, we are partnering with ConKerr cancer to make pillowcases for children with cancer. On September 17th we will have the classroom open for people to come and sew all day long – let’s see how many pillowcases we can make in one day. This will be part of the Miles of Smiles event that is happening across the USA, Canada and beyond from September 13th – 19th This week ConKerr will try to estimate the number of miles we can cover with pillowcase donations if we were to lay each one out from end to end. This will be a really fun challenge! If you can’t make it in on the 18th – we accept donations of pillowcases for ConKerr all the time! Judy & Karen © 2010 Sew Sisters.
