Coon Hollow Preserve
Coon Hollow Road and Ferguson Road
This preserve protects wooded slopes and a
beautiful wetland, where a short boardwalk into
the marsh gives visitors a unique perspective on
fall color. Historically significant, the property
is the original site of the Coon Hollow from
which the road was named.
Hidden Marsh Sanctuary
Off Buckthorn Rd./Portage Rd., one mile north
of Hoffman Road
Accessible and scenic, the easy walking trails
through this 38-acre preserve lead visitors to the
banks of the Portage River. Along the way,
there are scenic overlooks along the river and
Hoffman Pond, where sharp eyes may spot a
distant beaver lodge.
Spirit Springs Sanctuary
Dutch Settlement Rd., just west of Day Rd.
Wonderful to visit in all seasons, Spirit Springs
Sanctuary is a well-loved local walking and
hiking venue. A network of scenic trails winds
around an inland lake, up into the forest and
along a ridge overlooking untouched wetlands.

County Parks, and the Three Rivers
