What first attracted you to your favourite sport?
I learnt to ski when I was about 10 years’ old, and I loved it. I started snowboarding when I was a bit
older and enjoyed it even more than skiing.
What keeps you interested?
I love the snow, the beautiful mountains and gliding down the slopes.
What’s the best thing about it?
Having fun on the snow with good friends.
What’s the hardest thing about it?
I find it hard to snowboard when it is icy.
What first attracted you to Jesus?
Hearing stories about the amazing things Jesus did and still does today, such as healing people and
bringing freedom.
What keeps you interested?
Being able to get to know Jesus more and more.
What’s the best thing about him?
He will always love me, even when I do the wrong
thing.
What’s the hardest thing?
Not being able to see Jesus face to face.
How do you find that being a Christian
affects you as a sportsperson?
Being a Christian brings more meaning to my sport,
giving me a passion to use it to help others learn or providing a fun way to spend time with friends.

What impact does sport have on your life as a Christian?
A huge impact, as I’m a national director of a Christian organisation called Snowboarders and Skiers for
Christ, which connects with people who enjoy these sports.
As a Christian and a sportsperson, do you have a personal story about a time when
… You enjoy your sport even though you’re never going to be a superstar?
I know that I am never going to be in the limelight for my snowboarding skills. I didn’t pursue this
goal of progressing to a level of national or international competition in my sport. I find that there are
other reasons that I enjoy snowboarding. It is a fun way to spend time with friends and a great way to
connect with new people. I enjoy seeing others learn this sport and progress. There are Christians who
are amongst the best snowboarders in the world, and they are using their position to tell people about
their faith. God has an exciting plan for us, no matter how good we are at something.
