Learn how to place your blog feed on your authors page at Amazon and Goodreads, and how to place a live feed of your Amazon and Goodreads reviews on your website. This will be the last club meeting and newsletter for the Summer. No meetings in August and September. Club Meetings will resume on October 14th with guest speakers Dennis Blanchard and Donna Gould, discussing self-publishing with Create-Space. Sarasota Authors Connection Book Fair is November 7th. Vending space for the event is booked. Have a profitable and event-filled Summer. July Presentation "Promote Your Website with Amazon and Goodreads Tools" In this hands-on presentation, we will look at two strategies to promote your author website and your books. 1. Placing your blog feed on your author page at Amazon and Goodreads. If you do any blogging on your author website, you’ll want to send your published posts throughout the Internet, including social media and the major book sites. In this presentation, you’ll learn how easy it is to have your blog posts show up on your Amazon and Goodreads author pages. Joe Jacobson 2. Placing a live feed of your Amazon and Goodreads reviews on your website. Most book marketers agree that showing off your favorable reviews for your book will lend social proof to new readers to also purchase your book. Amazon and Goodreads are two sources of reviews that should appear alongside your book on your website. Accomplishing this involves a couple more steps which will be demonstrated live. In addition, if we have time, I will take any of your questions about any problems you may be having with your WordPress site. Let’s focus on questions that will be of benefit to the whole group. Szuprowicz is evaluating Amazon Advertising Campaigns feature using several of his E-Books already published on Amazon Kindle. The Advertising feature displays a small ad of your book cover, price, review rank, and link to Amazon sales point. Its value lies in the fact that only readers looking for a book are contacting Amazon and if your title or blurb has similar words to what they are keying in your ad is displayed. If a reader clicks on your ad you pay Amazon a small fee starting at $0.05 cents per click. Otherwise your ad is shown free. You compete however with other promoters like you who may offer higher click rate. Szuprowicz used 4 of his E-Titles to test the system. So far his ads appeared in about 27,000 cases and resulted in 27 clicks at a total cost of $ 3.34. This suggests that you need about 1000 displays of your cover to get one interested click. This Amazon feature appears to be a good tool to test your covers and titles. The feature does not waste time on Twitter or Facebook members who may not be looking for books and provides instant demographics and results. Szuprowicz is testing all his E-Titles to compare their attraction to readers. Most of his E-Titles on Amazon Kindle can be evaluated using the link below: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=node%3D154606011&fieldkeywords=Szuprowicz Miami Book Fair International "The books are coming.
