We are looking forward to welcoming the 30 Nations and their 112 athletes .

General information :
The weather : the temperatures can be between 28 degrees C and 32 degrees Celsius
Money exchange : In Colombia you will use only Colombian pesos in ordinary activities
please exchange money when you arrive to the airport or in the hotel.
Registration is Oct 28Th -12:00 noon until 8:00 pm in the lobby at your Hotel .

ARRIVAL TO AIRPORT

At arrival, the HOC will ensure transportations for all delegations from the hotel . Please
disembark and proceed directly to the baggage claim area. You will be met at the baggage
claim area and given assistance and directions.
A volunteers group will be help to you in all process.
For make more easy baggage identification we suggest that use a sticker or a color cord.
There will be a daily transportation bus service from the Hotels to the venue and back .



Absolute priority will be given to the athletes who will compete first;
In order to fill in completely each of the transportation service buses, a slight delay
may occur in reference to the scheduled transports.

Meals The meals for the 2015 open Boccia cali will be held on the following scheme:
 28th dinner box lunches can be at the airport or the hotel (according arrival flight time )
 Breakfasts will be held at each delegation’s hotel.
 29 th octuber at 2 nov Lunch and dinner will be served at the Venue. ( transport
hotel - venue –hotel is guaranted all time)

GENERAL OUTLINE OF THE COMPETITION
The open boccia will run in accordance with the BISFed International Boccia Rules .
In case of doubt or disagreement in the interpretation of the rules, the English version
shall prevail. The BISFed Boccia Rules can be found on the BISFed website.

Any case not included in this document shall be solved in accordance with the
Technical Delegate for the competition.
It is the responsibility of each National Organization participating to ensure that all
competitors and technical personnel are familiarized with the BISFed Boccia Rules.

 Supervise the organization of the competition so that it runs in accordance with
all agreements made in prior meetings and BISFed rules.
 Attend meetings prior to and during the competition
 Verify that all facilities for training and competition meet the BISFed regulations
 Approve all material to be used during the event
 Preside over the Appeals Committee
 Witness and approve all draws, as well as competition systems/ programmes.
 Supervise the results
 Assist the head referee(s) with all technical questions

 Ensure courts and all equipment, including but not limited to balls, chairs,
assistive devices including equipment such as head pointers, meet BISFed

 Participate in and select referees for protest committees
 Check, verify and sign all score sheets

CLASSIFICATION
In addition, the athletes must sign the BISFed Consent for Classification Form
and witness their signature with the Team Managers signature. Please ensure
that the athletes understand the document, provide translation if necessary .
Athletes must bring a list of all medications and any pertinent health
information written in English with them. They must also bring the Certificate
of Diagnosis completed by their medical doctor. It can be printed from
www.bisfed.com Classification Rules section, page 55.
The athlete must come to classification with Boccia equipment used in play and
be dressed in sports clothing. If they are not properly attired they will not be
classified.
Athletes must bring their Passport or Identification Card with them.

Athletes may use their own Sports Equipment. Sports Equipment includes:

Head pointers
Prior to the competition commencing, all Sports Equipment will be checked and certified
by selected referees supervised by the Head Referee.
The Equipment Check will be done according the schedule approved, on the 29th
October in hockey Coliseum .

At any time, except during a match, the referee may confirm the eligibility of any piece
of equipment. Any equipment that fails eligibility during competition shall be held by
the competition director for the remainder of the competition;

TRAINING ON THE COMPETITION COURTS
On 29th October -The teams must be at the entrance of the competition area
at least 5 minutes before the scheduled time. Enter on the end that is near your
assigned courts.
Five minutes before the finish time teams must stop training and prepare all the
equipment to get out at the scheduled time.
Access to the entrance of training area will be allowed only to accredited staff
or athletes who are scheduled for training. Access to the entrance of Sports
Equipment Storage will be allowed only to accredited staff or athletes
The practice courts will be available on 29th . The transport Venue-hotel is guaranteed

There are 1 Team Managers Meetings. These will take place in Hockey Coliseum
29th October 5 pm (17:00h)

CEREMONIES
OPENING CEREMONY: Thursday 29th October from 6:30pm to 7:30pm (18h30h to
19h30h ) at the venue. Countries should line up in the practice court area at 6:00 PM
(18h00).
CLOSING and MEDAL CEREMONY: 2nd of november at 6:00 to 7:00PM (18h00 to
19h00) at the Venue.
FAREWELL DINNER: After the Closing Ceremony, there will be a casual reception
for the athletes and staff, followed by dinner in Santiago de Cali University.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
1. ELECTRICITY AND ELECTRICAL CONECTION
Domestic power is 110 volts AC at 60 Hz (110V AC, 60Hz). For industrial facilities it is 220 volts
AC at 60 Hz (220V AC, 60Hz). Electrical connectors or plugs are used with two flat input pins or
with a third round pin and it easy to buy adapters and voltage regulators. It is advisable to
check the technical specifications of the devices that will be used in Colombia.

2. MONEY CURRENCY
The currency in Colombia is the peso. There are $ 1,000, $ 2,000, $ 5,000, $ 10,000, $ 20,000
and $50.00 bills and $50 $ 100, $ 200, $ 500 and $ 1,000 coins. Then you can convert other
currencies.

It is advisable to exchange dollars and other foreign currencies into pesos at exchange houses
at airports, hotels and banks. Never do this in the street. Also, consult the website of the
Portfolio newspaper (www.portafolio.co/indicadores/monedas), which publishes the daily
representative exchange rate
Those who bring in to Colombia over US $ 10,000 or its equivalent in other currencies,
including Colombian pesos in cash must declare this in the Baggage and Money Declaration
Form.
Cali have ATMs on major roads and shopping centres which mostly operate 24 hours in
English. Do not give your card or reveal your password to strangers.
Most high category department stores, shops, supermarkets, hotels and restaurants in
Colombia accept debit cards and credit cards like Visa and Master Card. Some places accept
American Express and Diners Club.
