Here are some photos of what Alisha has spent the fundraising
money on which we raised last term with the casual clothes/hat
day.

transition visit
A few of the volunteers pooled resources to put towards installing
showers in the orphanage for the girls (rather than just running
water from the taps). Shown are the before and after photos! They
no longer have to squat for a shower!
Alisha has also purchased some activities and equipment for the
students/girls whilst she's volunteered both at the school and in the
orphanage. The girls have few toys in the orphanage so she said it
was like Christmas when they saw all the activities etc. They were
so happy, appreciative and squealed with excitement as they
opened and played with the resources etc.

NOVEMBER
1st - Melbourne Cup Public Holiday
Staff from Rumbalara will be coming to our school to provide health checks for students. Forms were sent home this week and need to be returned to school. This will
be a great service for our school and we look forward to working with them. If we
don’t get the forms returned your child will miss out on this service.
SCHOOL CAMP
Over the next couple of weeks we will be sending out some more information about
our camp to Malmsbury next Term. If you are yet to bring your note back please do
so ASAP as we only have room for 50 students.
BUILD A BIKE
Once again the Kiwanis Club of Mooroopna are working with our Grade 5/6 students
to repair old bikes that have been donated to the school. This is a great program
where the students learn lots of new skills and get to keep their bikes at the end of
the program.
FATHER’S DAY BREAKFAST AND STALL
Our annual Father’s Day Breakfast will be held on Friday, 2nd September
from 8am until 9am. This is free and we would love to see the whole family come
along for some bacon and eggs, cereal, toast, spaghetti, pancakes, tea, coffee and
juice. This will be followed by our Father’s Day stall where students can buy a gift for
their Father or someone special. Gifts will range from $1-$5.00
CLUSTER FUN RUN
Our annual Fun Run with our local small schools will take place on Friday, 9th September. We run from Chinaman's Garden Mooroopna to Kidstown and Mr Robinson
will be sending out the sponsorship forms shortly so students can raise some money
for the school and collect some great prizes.

Our Parent Teacher Interviews for Term three will be held on the last Thursday and
Friday of this Term, the 15th & 16th September. More information will go home towards the end of the Term.
