Abhiyaan, which means movement or cause in Hindi, is a program that focuses on economic empowerment of poor farmers across India. Himalaya provides technical assistance to farmers, and trains them in Good Agricultural Practices, sustainable herb collection and organic farming. Himalaya is working with the local prison authority in Andhra Pradesh, India, to rehabilitate inmates. The prisoners cultivate herbs for Himalaya, earn an income and acquire essential skills.
