Summary of a Focus Group Meeting held at 12:30PM, Tuesday, May 3, at the Facilities Office. These notes record
our understanding of items discussed and decisions made at this meeting. Please notify us within seven (7) calendar
days of any necessary additions or corrections.

Jason welcomed the group and reviewed the Agenda for today’s meeting.
Jason asked if anyone had prepared their homework from the April 19th Meeting “What does learning look
like to you?” Staff shared homework related to Fine Arts (attached). Jason reminded staff that they still had
until the end of the school year to submit their homework. Information should be submitted to
jlembke@legat.com
Jason reviewed presentation to staff about trends in education today, multiple pathways to 21st Century
Education, what other countries are doing, concepts related to S.T.E.M., and images of 21st Century
Education environments.
Group talked about what they felt they were preparing students to be:
• Computer Programmers/ Technicians
• Artist
• Healthcare/ Sports Med
• Musician
• Conductor
• Actor
Group broke into Core Curriculum focus areas for discussion. Summary is as follows:
