september 2014 newsletter
8th October, 2014
Greetings!
It's been another busy month here at Pac Performance with plenty of action both on and off the track; included in
this months newsletter are some of the highlights.
PRIVATE TEST DAY EXCITES
Private test days are a great chance for racers to put their cars and even themselves through
their paces without the pressure and down time associated with a competition meet or even a normal
test and tune meet.
Heading out for the first time with his new
bridgeport combo, Adam Warwar was keen to
improve on his previous 9.8 PB he achieved
with the 13B mild port setup. As you can see
from the image to the left Adam certainly had
his hands full on the day with the car heading
skywards on more than one occasion.
After running a pair of easy low 10s Rocky
turned things up a bit and sent Adam on his way; The result was an easy 9.83@135, followed by a new
PB 9.61@138...
The last pass of the day saw the car almost
on the back bar before coming down hard
and bending the cars steering. Trust us when
we say you'll want to check out the in-car
footage from our Sony Action Cam of that run!
Pac Performance WPN09Z RX3 9.61@138 PB - 12/9/14
Private Test Day
Mark Brenner was out getting some more wheel-time in his crazy RX3. This guy's quickly becoming
one of the most exciting drivers to watch with his all or nothing approach to getting the car down the
track...
Sounding strong as always we were
all hoping to see Mark improve on
his current 7.49@175 PB.
Unfortunately as much as Mark tried
his best he was unable to better his
ET, the car fighting back hard off the
line.
On the two passes the car did get out of the
hole, as expected it resulted in some
excitement; mark using his entire lane on one
run, looking more like he was running a
slalom course and the other a close miss in
the deep end of the track when his steering
didn't respond due to the front wheels having

Private Test Meet
minimal contact with the track..
This meet also saw the much anticipated track debut of the Queen Street Racing BMW.
The sound emitting from the immaculatelypresented E46 was pure ear porn, the big
20B sounding much like the Mazda6 SP.
Owner/driver Mohamed was obviously
wrapped to finally be able to race the car that
has for the past few years been a static
showpiece.
Stepping into such a serious drag car it's going to take
some time for Moey to get to a point where he is
comfortable and confident enough to push it. Things
Pac Performance-prepped Queen Street 20B
BMW First Shakedown Passes 12/9/14
went well though on the day with Moey putting down
some nice clean burnouts and the car was strong out of the hole.
PAC CUSTOMERS PB AT RND7
TRACK CHAMPS
Round seven of the Sydney Dragway Track
Championship saw the Mazda6 SP as well as a
host of customer cars putting down some solid
numbers.
Coming back from a short break from racing due
to work commitments, Grant Henderson and his
crew put on the show of the event, their small
tyre 13B RX3 coupe running harder than ever!
The car was on a mission, running sevens the entire day including a flying 7.698@174 PB. Grant then went on to
take out the event win for the Super Compact class, beating the super consistent, Super Stock racer Clint George
who is usually untouchable in the final!!
Looking to improve on his Friday Private Test
efforts, Elia Hajjar hit the track running on Sunday's
Rnd 7 meet in his RX3 coupe...
After a solid burnout to warm the 10.5Ws up, Elia
blasted out an impressive 7.31@188 PB off the
trailer!!
Unfortunatly for Elia the remainder of his day was
not as exciting with gearbox dramas seeing a
premature end to his day.
In its first appearance at Sydney Dragway since the makeover, the Mazda6 SP showed off its new look for the
home crowd.
When it wasn't looking hot in the pits sitting idle the
20B Mazda6 SP was getting angry on the track,
unfortunately that didn't help the cause though with
the car suffering some bad tyre shake throughout
the day as well as getting out of the grove off the
line a few times...
George did manage to get two full pass in on the
day though, a 6.50@217 shakedown followed by a
flying 6.42@221.
As you will see in the video clip below, the 121mph pass was not without its own drama though, with a chute issue
in the deep end seeing the car come very close to getting out of shape under brakes and at 220+mph it was a
heart-stopping moment for us all.
After a few some-what lack-luster runs at the private test meet, Mark Brenner was out again in his 13B RX3 sedan
putting in work.
Once again though Mark was faced with a fight to
get the car off the line cleanly but he did manage a
lazy 7.6@177 later in the day.
Whilst this may not have been a new PB for the car
it was certainly nothing to complain about and Mark
and his crew are confident an improvement on his
current 7.4 PB is not too far ahead!
PAC ACT CREW AT PCM EVENT
The Performance Car Mania event, or simply
PCM as it's often called is becoming one of the
Souths most anticipated events, giving those
who are unable to make the trip north for similar
driving events like Powercruise the chance to
cut-sik on the track and enjoy their cars in a legal
and safe manner.
A few of our Canberra customers got in on the
action last weekend and had an absolute ball
thrashing their cars around the track...
Anthony Walsh (RX4) Wawrick Hay (RUNYAH RX3) and Dylan Gebbie (RX7) all had a blast thrashing their cars
around the track all weekend without drama, once again proving the reliability of our tough street combos.
With the event getting bigger and better as each year passes don't be surprised if you see a few of the NSW guys
making the trip next year to join in on the fun! Check out the full event wrap up and pics here.
PAC BILLET 20B CENTER PLATE
HELPS DELIVER NEW WORLD
RECORD SPEED
When we're not on the track ourselves pushing
the boundaries we like to help others achieve
and exceed their own goals.
Edwin Loquito and his RX8 have long been a
driving force in the local Perto Rican rotary drag
racing sceneand we're proud to have helped Edwin and his team achieve their latest PB, and new World Record
speed of 227.73mph with one of our Pac Performance Billett 20B Center plates.
This has been a massive step forward for Edwin and his crew as well as being a great milestone for the rotary
scene as a whole. No doubt we will see these guys improve even further on the 6.30@227 milestone with more
testing and we wish them the best of luck.
RX4 COUPE REVIVAL
RX4s seemed to have seen a resurgence in the past six
months with quite a few poping up at Pac HQ.
This particular coupe is being treated to a full re-vamp with
new retina-burning orange duco, a tidy 13BT combo, new
driveline and a host of other go-fast goodies.
It's safe to say the finished product will be a great
improvement on the early 90s burgundy exterior/velour trim combination it's been rocking since back in the day...
Stay tuned for more updates on this build soon.
STUTTA R100 BACK WITH VENGENCE
Some of you may remember this beast from a while back
when it was silver and running an angry aspirated combo
that was good for flat 11s with a Tremec 5-speed.
After getting sick of getting defects with the big port NA
setup the little R100 has undergone a full re-vamp and will
now have a 13BT under the hood, complimented by a
sizable Turbo By Garrett, Haltech ECU, plenty
ofTurbosmart gear backed by a beefed-up C4
Going to be a wicked little rig once we're finished with her!! Stay tuned for more updates on the build as it
progresses
