The acolytes today are Jordan Manning and Kathleen Way. Evan Currie, recent Furman University graduate with degree in organ performance, is the guest organist today. While at Furman, Evan studied organ with Charles Tompkins, piano with Ruby Morgan and voice with Lisa Barksdale. He will be attending Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University to pursue a Master of Music (M.M) in organ performance with Renee Anne Louprette. Henry Branson, recent Herring church music intern, will be the guest conductor of the Sanctuary Choir today. This fall, Henry, a Furman University music education graduate, will pursue a masters in choral conducting at East Carolina University where he will serve as a graduate assistant. Kyle Matthews is the soloist today. Tony McDade is the deacon assisting in worship today. Tony serves as a teacher for Children on Mission. He and his wife, Cam, are members of the Rose/Grace Class and have two married children and a granddaughter: Jennifer with husband, Jeremy Murphy, and daughter Ainsley; and Andrew with wife, Ashley.
