Guest Instructors: Susie Billingsley - Fillmore, IN www.susieb27@tds.net Susie made her first basket at age 11 and collected them through her teen years. She started weaving with a home economics group and knew before she was finished that it was something she wanted to do more of. Twenty-six years later she still loves weaving. Twelve years ago she began weaving on gourds and found another addiction. She has taught at conventions and does art shows through the summer months. Dianne Gleixner - Brookfield, WI www.diannegleixnerbaskets.com Residing in Brookfield, WI, Dianne began weaving baskets in 1987. She enjoys weaving Nantucket style baskets, twills and anything else with a challenge. She has written over 50 patterns and exhibits her baskets at arts and craft shows near her home and online through her eBay site. Since 2004, Dianne has taught in many states for their local guilds or state organizations. In October 2012 one of her baskets won the Viewers Choice Award at the Association of Michigan Basketmakers Convention. Debbie Hurd - Garfield, AR www.basestoweave.com Debbie began weaving about 28 years ago at a community education program in Arkansas. She happily retired from teaching and is now active designing new baskets, traveling, and working with her local guild. She has taught in AR, KS, OK, MO, IL, NC, TX, OH, KY, WI, AL and NE at conventions, guilds and small groups. She has also taught on the Basketweaving Cruises in 2010 & 2012.
