Catering Menus
Nestled in Dallas’ growing Arts District, the Morton H. Meyerson
Symphony Center is home to the world-class Dallas Symphony Orchestra.
The Meyerson Symphony Hall is noted to have the finest acoustics in America
and is considered the crown jewel of the Downtown Arts District.
The first impression one has of this facility is the open space and the touches
of elegance that are evident everywhere. The building's impressive architectural
features and unsurpassed acoustics make the Meyerson a preeminent
environment for exceptional events.
The expansive lobbies and concert hall setting can accommodate a variety
of functions or occasions, including luncheons, meetings and seminars,
awards programs, trade shows and exhibits, weddings or graduations,
religious services, seated banquets and photo and film shoots.
The Meyerson's Hart Symphony Suites offer a more private setting for meetings,
banquets and receptions and are outfitted with state-of-the-art audio & visual
equipment to help simplify the production needs of groups.
Once The Meyerson Symphony Center has orchestrated one event for you - be it
simple or elaborate - the staff will critique it thoroughly, making certain that
every detail -from the arrival of your first guests to the sip of the last cordial went smoothly. A record of your particular desires will be kept - your favorite
flowers, the music you prefer, and your culinary tastes. The Dining at the
Meyerson staff will become your personal party planner, anticipating you and
your guests’ needs and introducing you to new ideas in terms of cuisine, settings
and entertainment.

GENERAL EVENT INFORMATION
Facility Rental The Meyerson Symphony Center is owned and operated by the City of Dallas.
Rental of this facility must be made in advance through Les Studdard, General Manager
at 214-670-3758, or email request may be sent to c.studdard@dallascityhall.com.
The Meyerson Symphony Center rental facility charges and staffing fees are separate from,
and in addition to, the catering services required. Catering services must be contracted
through Culinaire International, the licensed caterer for The Morton H. Meyerson
Symphony Center.
Menu Selections Menu selections must be received at least twenty one days (21) prior to the
date of your event. The menu prices quoted and listed in the catering menus are subject to
change without notice. Based on the group size, special menus may be suggested by our
Executive Chef, Tim Semenuk. The State of Texas Health, Liquor and Insurance Regulations
prohibit any leftover food or beverages to be taken from the premises.
Alcoholic Beverages The Meyerson Symphony Center’s licensed caterer is Culinaire
International. Culinaire International is the sole licensed agent for the sale and service of
alcoholic beverages under the authority of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, and all
laws and restrictions pertaining to the above are enforced. Patrons or guests will not be
permitted to bring into the premises or take from the premises any alcoholic beverages. Our
staff reserves the right to refuse beverage service to any customer who is becoming or is likely
to become intoxicated. No person under the age of 21 will be allowed to consume
or purchase alcohol.
Guarantees A final Food and Beverage confirmation or “Guarantee” of your guest count
is required by 10:00am, five (5) business days prior your event, or as specified in your
contract. This Guarantee may not be reduced.

GENERAL EVENT INFORMATION
Table and Chair Rentals and Setup For concerts, events and groups that require event
furnishings without food or beverage, the following rates will apply: Tables for gifts,
registration, CD sales, etc. are available at $15.00 each. Banquet Chairs are $1.00 each.
Setup charges for tables and chairs are in addition to the rental fees and are based on the
performance times and the date of event. Your catering manager can inform you of these
charges. All Holiday events are subject to additional labor charges.
Displays and Decorations All proposed displays or decorations shall be subject to the
approval of the Meyerson Symphony Center staff.

GENERAL EVENT INFORMATION
Security Deposit & Payments All catering events require a deposit of 30% of the estimated
catering charges upon signing the contract. Catering deposits are non-refundable and may be
paid by cash, check or credit card. Final payment for catering services is due fourteen (14)
days prior to the event unless direct billing has been previously established. Deposit and
payment fees for the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center are handled by the Meyerson
staff under a separate contract.
Service Charge and Setup Rates A 21% service charge applies to all events with food and
beverage. Scheduled events that require extra setup hours or events that fall below the quoted
food and beverage minimum are subject to additional labor charges (see below).
Additional Staffing Rates and Fees Coat Check Attendant: $100.00 (One attendant required
per 75 people). Bartender Fee: $100.00 (One bartender required per 100 people).
Cashier Fee: $100.00 (One casher required per 100 people)
Setup Rate: $25.00 per waiter per hour (four hour minimum).
Labor Fees: Request for moving the existing tables and chairs in the Opus and Allegro
Restaurants is an additional fee beginning at $500.00 per area.
State Sales Tax A state sales tax of 8.25% will apply to all sales. If you represent a tax-exempt
organization, please submit a tax exempt letter or certificate in advance.

PARKING INFORMATION
The Arts District Parking Garage - $10.00
The Hall Arts Center Parking Garage is connected to the Meyerson with an underground
entrance off of Pearl Street (same entrance as the Underground Valet Circle) or off the service
road of Woodall Rogers. The main entrance to the Hall Arts Center Parking Garage is on Ross,
between Crockett and Leonard Streets.
