10 Gleniffer Lake / Dickson Dam
20 km west of Innisfail is Gleniffer Lake, fed by the Red Deer River and held back by
the Dickson Dam. The lake has four boat launches and is well used for recreational
boating, fishing and birdwatching. Provincial and private campgrounds, picnic areas
and year round resorts are nestled along the shores of the lake.

Creamery Museum offers guided tours, a coffee shop featuring
Icelandic delights along with a regular menu and Foothills ice
cream, a tiny gift shop and a courtyard to enjoy the country
atmosphere. Open daily from Saturday, May 17 to September
1, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. Nestled on the banks of
the Medicine River, stroll the streets on our historical walking
tour with informational signage while enjoying the many species
of birds and wildlife and the beautiful residential gardens. The
Blacksmith Boutique is located in the hamlet and is open from
12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Markervile Berry & Vegetable is located
near the village of Markerville. At the farm you will find: U-Pick
Strawberries, U-Pick Saskatoons, U-Pick Raspberries, U-Pick
Vegetables, Picnic Area and Kiddie Bale Maze.

In 1754 Anthony Henday took ‘a walk on
the wild side’ and became the first European
to experience the breathtaking view of the
Canadian Rockies. His entourage accompanied
by Cree Indians were on a fur trading
mission sent out by the Hudson
Bay Company. They first spotted
the Rockies from a hill just east of
Innisfail and then camped on the
shores of Innisfail’s Napoleon Lake.

29 RCMP Police Dog Service Training Centre
Five km south of Innisfail, the RCMP have their only dog training facility in Canada. PDSTC is the home
of the Canadian National Police Service Dog monument which was created in memory of all Police
Dogs killed in the line of duty for all Police Services in Canada. Training demonstrations are given every
