A TIRED DOG
STORY....zzzz
This particular day a very tired looking dog
Wandered into my back yard.I could tell from his
Collar and podgy belly that he was loved and well
Cared for. He calmly walked over to me and I
Gently stroked his head and he slowly followed
Me into my house and curled up in the hall way
And fell fast asleep.
An hour later he got up, stretched asked me to let
Him out and off he went. The next day he was
Back again and the same routine took place, this
Happened for about a week, I decided to pin a
Note to his collar to see if I could find out who the
Owner of this lovely dog was and were they
Aware that he came everyday to my house for a
Nap. The next day he arrived with a return note
Attached to his collar and it read: He lives in a
House with 6 kids, 3under the age of 5,he is
Trying to catch up on his sleep, please may I
Come with him tomorrow.....xxx

OUR KEV.....
Our Kev is a fantastic young dog about 12 - 15 months old, very cute with floppy ears. He is laid
back OK with other dogs and would make a super family pet. Good fun to be with. He is very
underweight so on 4 meals a day to build up. He was also a stray saved from the dog pound.

What a stunner..
Hi Lizzy. Hope youre well. just thought i'd give you an update. Biff seems to have settled in to our
house quite well and is generally getting on ok with my other 2 dogs. Billy (my shepherd) tells him
off when he steps out of line which is fine and Eddie (my jack russell) just climbs all over him
which he doesnt seem to mind. The cats he's fine with if they're still but if they move he does
chase them.
When he first arrived he kept trying to climb up on the chair to stand above us when we sat down.
Trying to be dominant and grumbling when we said no. But we seem to have curbed that
behaviour. He's pretty good on the lead but still has a major problem with the choke chain but i've
found that he's fine on a normal lead and is happy for me to put that on him. I'm working on his
recall and its getting better. He comes when i call him MOST of the time. Still have a problem with
him being clean in the house although saying that, he had two days when he did nothing indoors,
but has now started cocking his leg again unfortunately.
He grumbles when my 15 year old daughter strokes him and unfortunately this has made her a bit
nervous and i think he's picking up on it. Doesnt do it at all when Barry or i do it though. He will let
me groom him after a bit of coaxing although he was scared of the brush when i first got it out. He
seems to have bonded with me already which i suppose isnt surprising as i'm with him all day, and
follows me everywhere. Likes a bit of a cuddle with me and rolls over to let me rub his tum.
My stepson came over at the weekend with the kids and he was very vocal but when my daughter
in law came over on Monday with her baby, he was fine, didnt bark at all. I'm thinking maybe its a
man thing!
I know its very early days and we have a long road ahead, but all in all he's settled down quite well
considering, and his personality is coming out more. He's not an easy dog by any means, but he is
a very stubborn, cheeky, affectionate dog, who is definitely responding well to a bit of love (and
bribery) and i can see little improvements in him every day. I just hope that with some hard work
on my part things continue this way.
