FAST FACTS:
GA–PCOM offers a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree, a Doctor of Pharmacy
degree, a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences and a Master of Science
degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
MISSION:
GA–PCOM enrolled its first class in 2005 in response to the acute need for more healthcare providers to serve the growing population of Georgia and the surrounding states.
The College especially encourages graduates to serve where the need is greatest –
inner cities and rural areas with severe physician shortages.
ACCREDITATION:
The College is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association; the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania Department of Education; and Middle States Commission on Higher
Education. Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine School of Pharmacy’s Doctor
of Pharmacy program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education,

Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission.
The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)
has granted Accreditation-Continued status to the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic
Medicine Physician Assistant Program in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and approved a distant
campus in Suwanee, Georgia. Both the main campus and distant campus programs are
sponsored by Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Accreditation-Continued is an
accreditation status granted when a currently accredited program is in compliance with the
ARC-PA Standards.
Accreditation remains in effect until the program closes or withdraws from the accreditation
process or until accreditation is withdrawn for failure to comply with the Standards. The
approximate date for the next validation review of the program by the ARC-PA will be March
2018. The review date is contingent upon continued compliance with the Accreditation
Standards and ARC-PA policy.

(GA–PCOM) is a private, not-for-profit branch campus of the fully accredited Philadelphia College
of Osteopathic Medicine, a multi-program institution with a 116-year tradition of educational excellence. Located in Suwanee, Georgia, GA–PCOM offers the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree,
the Doctor of Pharmacy degree, a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences, and a Master of
Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Georgia Campus also includes the Georgia Osteopathic
Care Center, an osteopathic manipulative medicine clinic which is open to the public by appointment.
