This 6.3 acre parcel offers dogs and their owners the only legal dedicated area to run, recreate and train without a leash in the city. Enjoy and support your City’s Parks. Features: The dog park features a fully fenced perimeter, bull pen entry and exit area, two shelters with picnic tables, Mutt Mitt waste disposal stations, trash containers and an information/bulletin board kiosk. Another feature is the easy accessibility to the Northern Dakota County Regional Trail along the Mississippi River. Dog Owners: Please bring ample water for your dog. There is no running water on site. PERMIT FEES Users of the dog park are required to purchase an annual permit to the Kaposia Landing Off-Leash Dog Park (valid January 1st-December 31st of current year) for a fee of $20 for residents and $30 for non-residents. The park is open to valid permit holders from 6:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. Permits are sold at the Parks and Recreation Office (100-7th Ave. No., SSP). Dogs MUST be licensed and have proof of updated shot information in order to purchase a permit. A Dog Park Permit form can be downloaded from the Forms and Documents page of this website. Off-Leash Dog Park Location Kaposia Landing Off-Leash Dog Park Rules The City of South St. Paul is not responsible for any injuries/damages to dogs or owners while using the Off-Leash Dog Park. Please note that all dogs entering and existing the Dog Park must be on a leash. All dogs must be licensed. Must show proof of updated rabies vaccinations. Dogs under the age of four months are not allowed. Female dogs in heat are not allowed. Dog Park users can bring up to three dogs. Children under the age of 16 are not allowed unless supervised by an adult. Food, dog treats, cigarettes and glass are not allowed in the park. Owners must clean up their dog’s waste. Owner is responsible for filling any holes their dog may dig. Aggressive dog behavior is not tolerated. Dogs must be under verbal command at all times. No dog may be unattended. Dogs must wear a collar at all times. Owners must have a leash at all times in case dog’s behavior becomes unacceptable. All items you bring into the park must be taken home with you (balls, toys, water dishes, etc.). Owners will be held liable for all actions taken by their dog(s). Directions: Dog Park at Kaposia Landing is located at Concord Street North and Bryant Avenue, 1 mile north of I-494 in South St. Paul. From St. Paul, take Hwy. 52 South to Concord St. Exit. Go south on Concord approximately 3 miles. With the exception of the Kaposia Landing OffLeash Dog Park area please be informed that City Code states: Sec. 42-50. Animals. It is lawful for any park visitor to bring a dog or cat into a park if it is properly licensed and restrained on an adequate leash no longer than six feet. Park visitors who bring dogs or cats into a park must effectively remove from the ground or surface of any park, all fecal material deposited by the dog or cat. Dog park passes will not be issued to dogs that are not licensed.
