• Be a Medicare beneficiary or have a disability
• Be 60 or older
• You don't have to be a Medicare y Mucho Más (MMM) (HMO)
member to join the Patitas Calientes program.

Competition Rules
1. This competition starts on May 31, 2011 and
ends on October 31, 2011.
2. The competition's three (3) winning groups will
be announced on or before November 11.
3. To choose the winning groups, the total
amounts of new members that joined during the
valid time period will be added and the total
dropouts subtracted to come up with the final
amounts, which will then be compared among all
groups. The three winning groups will be those
that have the highest amounts of members.
4. The group with the largest amount of
members will win first place and will be entitled to
a first prize, a tourism tour.
5. The tour for the winning group will take place
in January of 2012. MMM will coordinate the date
and destination with the chosen group. The tour
will not include meals.
6. The groups that place second and third will win
a 2011 Thanksgiving Dinner valued at $300 per
group. Group members should present an
itemized estimate for the meal and MMM will pay
the vendor directly.
7. No prize can be redeemed in cash.
8. This competition was created for the Patitas
Calientes community program in order to
increase the amount of members in the 20
current groups: Arecibo, Barranquitas, Bayamón Santa Rosa Mall, Bayamón - Santa Juanita, Cabo
Rojo, Caguas, Carolina, Cidra, Dorado, Guayama,
Hatillo, Manatí, Mayagüez, Ponce, San Juan, Toa Alta,
Vega Baja, Las Piedras, Juncos and Yabucoa.
9. To enter and qualify for the competition, the
Patitas Calientes group leader must make sure the
interested participant meets the Program's
requirements: be a Medicare beneficiary or suffer
from some disability, and /or be 60 and over.
10. If you are a lapsed member and return, the
leader must make sure all your registration
documents are up to date and notify the Program
coordinator of your reinstatement.
11. You don't have to be a MMM member to
enter.
12. If the person who wants to join the Program
meets the requirements mentioned in point #9,
the leader will provide the three official documents:
registration sheet, health certificate, and regulations,
for him or her to fill out.
13. The group leader will inform the dates of
meetings to the interested person so he / she can
attend.
14. The group leader will begin to enter the new
participant's name in the Daily Attendance Register
as a visitor starting on the person's second visit.
15. The group leader must let the MMM
coordinator know a visitor has joined the group
and that this person is interested in enrolling in the
Program (in order to monitor and follow-up).
16. As soon as the person that is interested in
joining the Program delivers the three duly
completed forms to the group leader, he / she can
be considered an official Patitas Calientes member.
Patitas Calientes is a community program created
by MMM that promotes physical and emotional
wellbeing. Participants improve their health and
general wellness, and decrease the risks of
developing certain diseases while receiving health
education and exercising with a professional trainer.
