your bike
A manual by Beachbruiser.de, written for an Electra 3-speed Cruiser.

Step 1: Get
prepared
This is how your bike is delivered:
Hopefully, there is a partly assembled bike inside:

You will need a few tools to make your bike roadworthy:
• hex keys, sizes 4mm, 5mm and 6mm
• open-end wrenches, sizes: 8mm, 10 mm, 14mm, 15mm, 32mm
• a flat open-end wrench (15mm)
• Screwdrivers (Phillips and flat)
• Pincer and wire cutting pliers
• (lighter) fuel
• Greasing creme
• a brush

Step 2: Saddle
Connect saddle and seatpost:
Tighten the screw nut with an open-end wrench:

Grease the seat tube with a brush:
Place saddle and seat post into the tube:
Tighten the clamp of the seat post with a hex key:
!

Step 3: Wheels
Adjust the headset with a 32mm open-end wrench:
The head set has to have no play, but free movement:
!

Find the screw nuts of the axis and the washers:
Position the front wheel in the fork:
Place the washers on both sides:

Now, tighten the screw nuts:
Do that at the rear wheel as well:

Step 4: Handlebar
Grease the headset:
Place the stem with the handlebar into the tube:
!

Tighten the hex screw of the stem:
Loosen the screw of the handlebar, adjust the handlebar and tighten
the screw again:

Step 5: Brakes &
Shifter, Part I
Place the brake lever onto the handlebar:
Now the shifter:
!

Dribble lighter fuel into the grip:
Place the grips onto the handlebar:
!

Fix the shift cable on the frame:
Find the contact pin of the (3-speed) hub and grease it:
Slide the contact pin into the hub:
!

Place the gear box part onto the screw nut of the axis and tighten it:

Step 6: Pedals
Grease the thread:
Screw the pedals on the crank:
Tighten the pedal with a flat open-end wrench (15mm):

Step 7: Brakes &
Shifter, Part II
Pump up the tires:

Choose position 2 on the gearshift:
!

Look at the gearbox: In case the yellow dot doesn’t appear between the
yellow lines, loosen the screw nut:
For adjustment move the little screw...
...until the yellow dot is lying right inbetween the yellow lines:
Now you can tighten the screw nut again.

Now, the brakes…
Position the brake blocks close to the rim:
Tighten the screw nuts of the brake blocks:

Now the brake cable:
Place the head of the brake cable in the brake lever
!Tighten the brake cable with the brake lever screw:

Now, look for the little U-tube and pull the brake cable through it:
Now hook the U-tube in the brake:
Now look for the grommet and pull the brake cable through it:

Slide the brake cable through the clamp screw:
Pull the cable to adjust the V-brake:

Tighten the clamp screw:
Adjust the brake by turning the screws on the brake:
Shorten the brake cable, put on the little nipple on the end and
tighten it with a pincer:
Place the brake cable end behind the brake:

Step 8: Final
adjustments
Adjust the height of the saddle…
…and the handlebar. Also adjust its position: !
