Mr PEX® Systems is one of the leading radiant floor heating and domestic hot and cold water systems suppliers in
the North American marketplace. Mr PEX® PEX-AL-PEX stays in place due to its aluminum core, allowing clean and
professional installations.
Mr PEX® PEX-AL-PEX tubing is a composite pipe consisting of five layers.
The inside and outside layers are made of Cross-Linked Polyethylene (PEX)
tightly bonded with melt adhesive to the mid-layer made of an overlap
welded aluminum core that is 100% gas/oxygen tight.
The combination of plastic and metal makes Mr PEX® multi-layer tubing
ideal for all hot and cold water installations. The PEX-AL-PEX tubing
is flexible for easy installation, but still rigid when in place due to its
aluminum core. This allows for a clean and professional looking installation.
Our PEX-AL-PEX tubing has an expansion coefficient almost 9 times less compared with regular
PEX. This virtually eliminates any noise and movement after installation, eliminating the need for
expansion loops etc.
The PEX-AL-PEX tubing is manufactured to ASTM F 1281-2005 (CSA B137.10), is certified
by NSF (NSF-pw & NSF-rfh) and complies with NSF/ANSI Standard 14 and 61 health effects
requirements. NSF performs at least 3 unannounced control visits to the production plant
annually, and conduct its own tests in accordance with ASTM F 1281-2005 (CSA B137.10).
Additionally, the tubing is in compliance with chlorine resistance test method ASTM F2023 and
carries the cNSF and cNSFus mark. Our tubing is also temperature and pressure rated by the
Hydrostatic Stress Board of PPI (Plastics Pipe Institute). The rating is 160 psi at 200°F.
The PEX-AL-PEX tubing comes in coils and straight lengths (blue for cold and orange for hot water)
and is marked with Mr PEX®, size, pressure rating 160 psi at 200°F, ASTM standard
reference, independent third party certifiers mark, production date, and running ft.

coil - so that the installer will always know how much tubing is left in each coil.
Our tubing comes with a 25 year warranty and liability insurance covering at least
$1,000,000 per occurrence, both by Manufacturer and Mr PEX®.

DZR Press Fittings for Mr PEX® Composite Tubing
Mr PEX® offers a complete line of DZR press fittings and tools for the PEX-AL-PEX composite tubing. These DZR press
fittings are chlorine resistant and optimal for use in potable water or radiant applications. The fitting body is made from
dezincification resistant brass, double o-rings and a stainless steel press sleeve. An accurately completed press fitting
offers a fast, reliable and permanent connection.
