Dear Parents/Guardians of our Participants,
Welcome to the City of Rockville’s Youth Sports Leagues. Our goal is to provide quality leagues to each and every
participant. We strive to provide a fun, exciting experience for all participants in a recreational setting. Thank you for your
continued support of our leagues. Enjoy the season!
Youth Sports Leagues
We recommend bringing a water bottle to all league practices and games. Please stay hydrated!
• Volunteer coaches conduct all youth league team practices and games •

leagues and tournaments.
Mighty Mites Basketball:
This league emphasizes learning the game, developing basic skills
and having fun. Kindergarteners and first graders will play on a
modified court, baskets (height at 8 feet), and teams will play 4 vs.
4. Second grade boys and second through third grade girls play
with baskets at 8 feet, 6 inches. Baskets for 3rd grade boys will
be standard height. Participants will be contacted by a volunteer
coach regarding practices and other information. Practices begin
the week of 12/7. Time and location is subject to change. Register
by: 11/2.

The City is proud to sponsor a youth wrestling team to compete in the
Montgomery County Wrestling League. Note: There is an additional fee payable
by the family for AAU membership. Equipment and uniforms are provided.
Practices begin the week of 11/17 on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Wootton HS
from 6:30-8 p.m. Meets begin 1/9, between noon and 5 p.m. at Gaithersburg HS.
Wrestlers at least 6 years old by 1/1/16 are eligible. Wrestlers 14 years old by
1/1/16 are eligible. Register by 11/2. Meets at Gaithersburg HS

This exciting winter sport provides opportunities for boys and girls to compete in organized basketball leagues. Modified playing

Prior to the registration deadline, you can register at any City of Rockville facility. This includes Rockville City Hall, Swim Center,
Senior Center, Twinbrook Community Recreation Center, Lincoln Park Community Center, Thomas Farm Community Center, and
