Iglesia Cristiana de Nueva Vida
(New Life Christian Church)
Gerza and Reyna Zaragoza
have prayed many months and
have made the decision to join
us in planting New
Life Christian Church.
We could not have
asked for better
partners in ministry.
They worked along
with Eric and Dee
Duggins to plant New
Hope Christian
Church 13 years ago
(the church we were
working with the past 7 years).
Gerza served as an elder at
New Hope since the
beginning. Reyna has
awesome organizational skills
and has been in charge of the
children’s ministry for many
years. She also has a passion
to reach out to women and
people with drug addictions.
We feel blessed and privileged
to be working with them.
Launch Date Set
for May 3rd!
God is at work in
the lives of many
people in the Cubitos/
La Raza neighborhood
and the “field is ripe
for harvest”.
We
have seen the growing
need for a community
of believers in this area as we have ministered to
their spiritual and physical needs through the
CLAVE outreach center. Our vision and passion is
to lead people into New Life in Jesus Christ and
establish a Christian community that will reach out
in a culturally relevant way to the lower income
and indigenous people. We will be using the cell
church model that we have used in the first church
plant. Please join us in prayer and battle in the
spiritual realms for this new church plant.

February 5th - We departed Springfield, IL around 5pm to start
the drive back to Mexico. We made it as far as Cape Girardeau,
MO that first night. Then we traveled onto Lindale, TX the next
day to spend the night at Twin Oaks Ranch (the YWAM base
where Vicki had been 20+ years earlier). We were also able to
stop and see several friends in Texas along the way. It was such a
great blessing to get to see so many people that we hadn’t seen in
a long time.
February 11th - we crossed the border into Mexico. God
granted us favor with the border patrol and we didn’t have to pay
anything! Praise God! (Photo: A tearful “good-bye” to “Oma”
and “Papa” at the border of Texas)
February 13th - we arrived in Pachuca! It was so good to be home!
February 15th - Jubilee Christian Church celebrated their 2 year
anniversary as a church.
February 22nd—New Hope Christian Church celebrated their 13th
anniversary as a church.
February 24th - Mexico Field Team meeting in Mexico City
Pam Akiro (a wonderful woman and nurse who is preparing to come
work with us here) visited.
March 9th - Benjamin started “preschool” here in Pachuca. (Photo:

March 13-15th - Vicki attended a Women’s retreat and played her guitar
on the worship team
March 25-28th - Mexico
Missionary Reunion - Vicki, again,
played her guitar on the worship
team. We were blessed to receive
teaching from Dr. Robert Lowery
(Lincoln Seminary) (Photo: Mexico

April 4-5 - Traveled to Achichipic (village in Veracruz) to
celebrate the 2 year anniversary of the church there. (Photo:

Achichipic)
∗
April 12th - Officially say “good-bye” to New Hope
Christian Church congregation. Break out the Kleenix!
∗
May 3rd - Launching of New Life Christian Church!
∗
For the time, energy and creative
ability to accomplish all that we
need to do before launching the
new church plant on May 3rd.
∗
For peace and love to reign in all
situations with our brothers and
sisters in Christ here in Pachuca.
∗
For the Spiritual battle we are in
as we wage war in “enemy
territory”.
∗
For God to work in the hearts of
the people and “prepare the way”
for the new church plant.
∗
For Benjamin as he is struggling
in his adjustment to his new
school.
∗
For Gerza, Reyna and family as
they say “adios” to 13 years of
ministry at New Hope and step
out in faith in this new adventure
with us.
On April 5th the church in
Achichipic (the Aztec village in
Veracruz) celebrated its 2 year
anniversary as a church.. We were
able (along with several others
from Pachuca) to go and celebrate
with them. It was exciting to see
how God is at work
there. It was neat
to hear the word of
God being
preached in two
different languages. Pastor Alejo (of New
Hope Christian church in Pachuca) preached
in Spanish and it was translated by Gregorio
(who is from the village but now lives in
Pachuca). The church is continuing to grow
and is up to more than 30 members in 3 cell
groups now! Please continue to pray for
this church and its people who face much
opposition from the Enemy.

(“Pancho”) - Evangelists/Church Planters
in Achichipic and surrounding villages

We are thankful for:
∗
The privilege of being a part of
what God is doing here in
Pachuca.
∗
For God’s faithfulness to
provide for our every need.
∗
For wonderful ministry partners
who pray and give so that we
can be here.
∗
For the blessing of being a part
of a great team of fellow
missionaries.

your partnership with us.
May God richly bless you
as you continue to serve
Him faithfully!
Benjamin started attending
“preschool” here on March
9th. It has been a difficult
struggle for him adjusting to
his new school. Preschool
here is 5 days a week from
8am to 1pm. The days have
been long for him and (because he
forgot most all of his Spanish during our time in the U.S.)
he has difficulty understanding what is going on. Please
pray for him during this difficult time of transition.
Matthew (“Teo”) is growing and adjusting fine to
being back in Mexico. His favorite pastime is torturing,
er...I mean, “petting” the family dog, Hui-Hui
(pronounced Wee-Wee).
Greg and I are getting back into the “swing of
things” here in Pachuca and wondering “where did all this
traffic come from”? We are working to recover the
Spanish we “lost” while in the U.S. and preparing for
launch of the new church coming up REALLY quickly.
We are making some changes to
our “house” and completely
separating it from the CLAVE/
Church part of the building
(making a separate outside
entrance, etc.)
We would greatly
appreciate your prayers for our
good friend Claudia, whose dad
just passed away a few weeks
ago. It has been a difficult time
for her and the whole family.
Our favorite part of being back
here is seeing all our friends and visiting with them again.
We feel so blessed and loved.
