Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur — East-West Provincial Team Sr. Barbara Barry, SND Sr. Edie Daly, SND Sr. Barbara Ann English, SND Sr. Mary Farren, SND Sr. Anne Malone, SND Sr. Catherine Waldron, SND ’63 This idioma c expression, heralding imminent ac vity and excitement, captures the spirit of this event, Notre Dame High School in May, and the exhilara ng future we see before us. I feel it and am thrilled that you are here to share it! Tonight, we are ‘off to the races’! Fancied up and ready to celebrate, there is an energy of excitement as we greet friends, meet new people, and cha er about ‘winning’ auc on prizes. The music starts our toes tapping, and we might even break into a frenzied sweat on the dance floor. It’s a great party put on by a commi ee of inspired merry-makers who go the distance for Notre Dame. They have shaped a night for us to celebrate and support this school we love, and we thank them. Let the merriment begin! In May the ND campus certainly feels like it is ‘off to the races’! Seniors revel in their four years of work and accomplishments and proudly sport new allegiances with sweatshirts boldly emblazoned with logos from the University of Oregon, Emory, Northwestern, Santa Clara University and many more. Prom dresses are primped and ready for sashaying; gradua on shoes have been approved by the dean and party plans are well underway. Teachers are grabbing at every class minute to seal the learning deal in math, science, history and more before the summer winds blow the students away. It’s a race to the finish! The future pulls us forward with a snappy beat. The Class of 2019 is enrolled and ready to launch and mark off another decade for this great school. An exci ng vision for the school is shaping — a vision that will pace along with our newest class and bring even more vivacity to the corner of 2nd and Reed. We are off to the races, and I am so grateful that you are along for the ride!
