WOMEN: THE HARBINGERS OF CHANGE
WEF 2015
WELCOME
1
Dr. Harbeen Arora
Global Chairperson, Women Economic Forum & ALL Ladies League
Welcome to WEF2016, the world's largest congregation of women with over 1200 expected from more than 75 countries. At WEF2015, it
was a sheer delight and a blessing to have so many inspired and kind hearted women from across the world and diverse backgrounds
come together for the very first time, and yet feel an abiding Oneness of heart and mind. Such was the miracle experienced by ALL.
WEF 2015 was a celebration of warmth, enthusiasm, commitment, and creativity apart from the business opportunities generated. Over
400 women from diverse cultures and faiths came together to create a vision of the world as they believe in – a world where the seed of
love in every heart is planted again; where the dried up emotions in our hearts are revived again; where the creative energy in each is
liberated again.
ALL Ladies League is connecting, every day, more and more women from ALL parts of the world to foster a worldwide web of women and thus
creating a strong collective self for women. ALL is fostering a positive global movement in uplifting the world through feminine leadership and
via friendship in an era of major individual conflict, depression, anxiety and intolerance due to rising religious fanaticism, extremely
competitive environment, decline of value systems and narrow selfish thinking. ALL is also a mindset for change, for introspection, for
rationality, for tolerance, for faith, for goodness, for kindness, for generosity, for societal values, for peace and prosperity both of the individual
and society, for collective responsibility, for ethics and above ALL for the wellbeing of the entire world as enshrined in the ancient wisdom of
praying for the happiness of the entire universe since in that lies the happiness of the individual.
Welcome to the fascinating world of the Women Economic Forum 2016- to learn, to enquire, to network, to create partnership across borders,
to promote your business interests and to create lasting bonds. This year theme of “Women: Uplifting & Uniting The World” covered
through 28 verticals across 408 sessions.

FAQ’s Regarding Travel, Visa, Logistics
1. Delegates must apply for an Indian tourist visa only at https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/ for your travel dates. You will get an online approval and then on arrival at New Delhi your
passport will be stamped with the visa.
2. Delegates should book your round trip ticket to New Delhi from your destination. Some good deals are available at www.makemytrip.com and www.goibibo.com
3. ALL Foreign delegates who are speakers will get to spend up to one week complimentary (includes stay, meals) at one or more of our Himalayan resorts subject to availability
and prior booking. See www.countryinn.in. For the entire trip Toyota Innova & SUV (capacity 5 passengers) cost will be USD 150 per person . The resorts are a 6 hour drive by
road. On the highway at midpoint there is a McDonald where one can stop for a short meal and refreshment. Cost of a meal roughly will be USD 5 per person. For safaris in the
Corbett tiger reserve, you have to book in advance as its government regulated and controlled. Cost for a jeep which can have 6 passengers is USD 110 and for an Elephant
ride which can have 4 passengers is USD 55. The hotel will be happy to arrange all the bookings and you can pay the hotel for it. If you wish to go before the conference, plan
to leave for the resorts from New Delhi on 9th may morning and arriving back on 16th morning. If after the conference, then you can leave on 21st afternoon and arrive back to
New Delhi on 29th May afternoon. Bottled water will be made available at cab’s plus the hotel on complimentary basis.
4. Delegates arriving before the conference in New Delhi or staying beyond conference can book the same hotel or another hotel. Our people will help. Rates for staying in
single room including breakfast only are per day: For Pullman Hotel is USD 110 (Rs 7000), For Novotel Hotel its USD 100 (Rs 6400) and For IBIS Hotel its UDS 70(Rs 4500).
Rates for staying on twin sharing basis including breakfast only are per day: For Pullman Hotel USD 65 (Rs 4000), For Novotel Hotel its USD 56(Rs 3500), and For Ibis Hotel
its USD 40 (Rs 2500)
5. Delegation who want to visit Taj Mahal (Agra). A day visit to the Taj Mahal (Agra) be arranged by a Toyota Innova and SUV (capacity 5 passengers) before or after the
conference. Cost of hiring the Toyota Innova and SUV for the round trip is USD 75. It’s a three hour journey one way. Booking has to be done in advance. Tickets to visit the Taj
(USD 20 per person) are not included nor are any meals. Best is to have lunch at the ITC Maurya (cost USD 30 per person) or at any Mc Donald or Pizza Hut.
6. Other expenses: the conference rate includes all meals at the conference venue. Bottled water will be available complimentary in all the rooms, and at the conference venue.
You only have to pay for any room service or use of any other facilities at the hotels. Not included is eating out or sightseeing in New Delhi. Our help desk will guide you.
7. Dress Code: Carry smart casuals, semi-formals and formals for the various conference sessions. We welcome culturally diverse outfits. In terms of weather, it’s going to be
warm outside (but air conditioned in hotel) so you need not carry anything warm. However, if you are going to the resorts in the hills, a light jacket is
recommended.
8. Speakers at parallel sessions. Each parallel session is for 60 minutes. If you are the lead speaker, you will have 15-20 minutes. This will be followed by two panelists, who get
5 minutes each and a moderator who gets 5 minutes. The balance time is for Q &A. There are Ten simultaneous parallel sessions in different conference rooms at the venue.
Given a total strength of 1500 delegates, you can expect anywhere from 60-100 attendees in your session. While we will be popularizing each session and the speakers well in
advance, we cannot guarantee how many will attend each session as delegates have a choice.
9. On arrival at new delhi airport, you will have someone from with a placard of Women Economic Forum at the exit. He/she will escort you to one of our coaches and take you to
the conference venue hotels. The conference venue is within the airport complex and just 5 minutes away.
10. For the conference hotels check-in is at 1:00 pm on 16th (includes lunch) and check out is at 12:00Noon on 21st. Hotels will allow early check in and late checkout by a few
hours, subject to availability
